Alex & Brandy are hopeful adoptive parents from Texas waiting to adopt a baby.
If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Hello, our names are Alex and Brandy and we’d like to thank you very much for reading our online profile. We are deeply grateful to you for choosing the gift of life for your child. Even though we have not met you, we know you are a person of tremendous courage and love. We realize you are making difficult decisions and we wish you peace and comfort as you go through this journey. Please know this letter could never begin to express how much respect and admiration we have for you.
Our hope is this profile will give you a little sense of who we are and why we wish to start our family through this process. We don’t have a long story of infertility; it’s a story of surviving cancer and the plan the Lord has for us. That plan is adoption!
We’ve learned to embrace life and cherish every moment we have and that comes from a lot of love and a lot of laughter. Alex has the funny sense of humor and Brandy has the never ending optimistic outlook on life. All of that coupled with our great and supportive families we feel will make us fantastic parents.
We are so excited that your baby could be the answer to our prayers. Please enjoy reading our profile and we hope you will consider us to be the parents of your child….a priceless gift!
Our Story
We met in March through one of Alex’s friends who worked with Brandy. We spent a few weeks just hanging out as friends which quickly led to our first date in late April. This led into 2 years of dating and traveling to a lot of really great places together. It was during a trip to Napa Valley, high above a vineyard in a hot air balloon that Alex proposed.
We were married on the shores of Lake Tahoe in June the following year surrounded by family and close friends. We spent 8 wonderful days honeymooning on the island of St. Lucia.
What Alex says about Brandy:
Brandy is a wonderful, supportive and fun loving wife….she is truly the light that shines in my eyes. Her best qualities are her caring personality and happy-go-lucky attitude. Her demeanor is infectious bringing joy to everyone around her. What I love most about Brandy is that we have so much fun together! She’s my best friend and a wonderful Aunt/Godparent to our niece and nephews. Brandy survived Leukemia as a young adult so I think it where her positive and amazing outlook on life comes from. She’s in great health and her biggest aspiration in life is to be a mom.
Brandy is a Recruiting Manager for a Fortune 500 company which allows her to work from home which is wonderful. She’s got to one of the best entertainers I’ve ever known, whether that means hosting a great pool party at our home or singing karaoke during a night out with friends. She’s very passionate about her family and loves to spend time with them. Her hobbies range from singing to cooking and she’s a huge Texas Longhorn Fan.
What Brandy says about Alex:
Alex is by far the kindest person I’ve ever known….he is the love of my life. He is so incredibly genuine and honest; that’s what makes me love him so much! We spend a lot of time with our nephews, Josh and Trenton. When I see him with the boys it brings tears to my eyes how loving and patient he is. It makes me realize that much more what a great father he will be with our own family. I think Alex’s funny and quirky sense of humor is the bow on the package that makes him the “perfect gift”.
Alex is a Vice President of Marketing for a national physician recruiting firm. When he’s not working he’s playing golf, hanging out by our pool grilling up some steaks or perhaps playing hockey with his friends. Alex is originally from Canada and used to play professional hockey so it will always be in his blood!
Daily Life
We live in a wonderful safe neighborhood that hosts many annual events and parties. We have a park right at the end of our street and a golf course as well. Our home is a large single story with 4 bedrooms/3 baths and a backyard with a pool and plenty enough room for play.
Our weekends are usually spent hanging out by the pool or golfing in the warm months or watching football or playing hockey in the fall. Between Brandy’s love of college football and Alex’s love of hockey, we usually have plenty of sporting events going on. We both really like to cook, so it’s not unusual for us to have a house a full of company and grilling up something on the BBQ. We also spend a lot of time outside working in the yard or in the gardens around our pool.
Brandy’s immediate family all live within half an hour of us; a sister with 2 young boys (who we LOVE spending time with) and a brother with 2 older children. Brandy’s brother and his family live on a ranch close to the lake so there are plenty of fun outdoor things to do when we visit them and Alex’s family lives in Canada, so we do travel there regularly. Alex’s sister and her husband just had a baby, so we are really excited about having a new niece in the family.
We spend a lot of time with our families especially during holidays and birthdays, which are our favorite times together. Alex’s extended family is huge so Christmas in Canada is always fun with his 11 cousins and their families. They are a very fun and lively bunch. Brandy’s family always has a big family reunion during the summer at a lake in Texas and again, it’s great having 7 cousins, lots of aunts and uncles and all the babies that come along with it!
Probably our most favorite thing to do is to travel. We are very fortunate that we have been able to visit some really amazing places. We’ve been to Dominican Republic, we were engaged in the Napa Valley, married in Lake Tahoe, honeymooned in St. Lucia and we take and annual trip to the Emerald Coast of Florida. A few other fun trips include San Francisco, Chicago, Toronto, England, Aruba, Mexico, Jamaica and New York City. We are really looking forward to the day we have our own family to share this with.
Thank You…..
Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to read through our profile and getting to know us a little bit. We would love the opportunity to speak with you and answer any questions you might have.
We have so many wonderful things in our lives that we are ready to share with a child. The thought of starting our family is so exciting to us and we plan to love this child, maybe your child, unconditionally and to provide a loving stable home filled with lots of fun, encouragement and laughter!
Warmest regards,
Alex and Brandy
