Michael & Anne are hopeful adoptive parents from New Jersey waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Waiting Hearts Dear Birth Parents,

We thank you for contemplating placing your child for adoption. Without your selflessness we cannot experience the love and joy parenthood brings. As a mother, your decisions for your child are made from all the love you have in your heart for your baby. As you plan your baby’s future and are considering potential parents we would like to thank you for choosing to find out about us--who we are and what we are about. We are Anne and Michael. We can't wait to welcome a child into our hearts and our home. We hope to give you a glimpse of who we are in our hearts while your heart is choosing the perfect family for your baby. We have tremendous admiration for you as you make this incredible, life changing decision.

Not being in your shoes we cannot imagine what you are going through, what fears and anxieties, hopes and dreams you have about your child’s future. We cannot express to you how grateful we are to you for choosing adoption. We admire your strength, courage, and selflessness.
Our Marriage and Home We have been together for nine years and married for seven. Since we both love the ocean so much we decided to buy our dream home in a seashore community at the famous "Jersey Shore." Our 3-bedroom, 2-bath ranch is just five blocks from the beach. We also have a pool in our backyard which we love equally. We moved into our new home on Valentine’s Day. We knew it was the perfect day to start the next chapter in our love story. It wasn’t too long after unpacking that we suffered our first miscarriage. We were devastated beyond belief. After a few years of infertility treatments and more miscarriages, we chose adoption. We are blessed with a happy marriage, a beautiful home, a loving family and we are surrounded by wonderful friends, co-workers and neighbors who are supportive of our efforts to grow our family through adoption.

Our weekends and holidays are filled with our loved ones – talking, laughing, playing various games (Wii, PS2, Jenga, Trouble, Operation, Fish, Old Maid, Marco/Polo) and enjoying good food!!! We get together once a month with our families at a designated sibling’s house. It's our way to catch up on what’s going on with each other. No matter whose house we go to, Anne's desserts are always invited first--she is a great baker! Our house is the “summer house” since we live 5 blocks from the beach. When it's our turn to host, the kids love playing in our yard and pool while the adults hang out on the deck and catch up. Sometimes we’re challenged to pool games. Often times we pack a picnic and head over to the beach. We also celebrate July 4th at our house by having a BBQ, pool time and then head over to the beach for fireworks. It’s spectacular. We also celebrate New Year’s Day at our house; a tradition Anne started after her mother passed away. We like to start the year off with happiness, surrounded by the people we love and who love us more than anything. Everyone gather’s at our house for a great meal and a family activity. Sometimes we watch a movie together or play Wii or PS2 games as teams. This year we played Dance Dance Revolution and had a blast and Anne and nephew Patrick won the competition. The prize: exemption from clean up! Dinner is always a favorite meal from Anne’s childhood. Her siblings are always happily surprised at her dinner choice. The most requested favorite is Anne’s stuffed cabbage with mashed potatoes, and cream puffs for dessert!
About Each Other Anne about Michael

Michael is one of the hardest working men I know. He is an accountant at a large hospital in New Jersey. He is studying for his Masters in Finance and has just three more classes to go. He has maintained a 4.0 GPA. I am very proud of him. When he is not working and/or hitting the books, he is having fun. He loves playing the guitar and I love when he surprises me with a Pearl Jam tune. He dotes on his parents and our nieces and nephews. He gets grass stains while playing football or baseball and he also enjoys a cup of tea when the girls are having a tea party! He is my handyman when I need something hung up or fixed in the house. He is a really good cook, and is equally good at cleaning up and vacuuming (my most hated chore!) He enjoys the gym, football, skiing and hockey. He loves a ton of music and can name a song in as little as one beat. He’s amazing! His favorite bands are U2 and Bruce Springsteen. Recently I surprised him with tickets to a Bruce concert at Giants Stadium. Michael was thrilled to be there and the seats were pretty close up. It was like Christmas came early! I love when he’s happy. He has a lot of great qualities including being loving, kind and mannerly and has great patience when teaching something he knows to someone who doesn’t. He is a great husband and there is no doubt in my mind that he will be an excellent father.

Michael about Anne

Anne is one of the most soulful and loving people I know. She truly defines what it is to be selfless. On so many occasions she puts herself out of the way to help others. She is a loving wife and aunt to our five nieces and three nephews. Their love for her is evident at every family gathering and they love that she is the hip aunt who is as fun-loving as they are. Anne is a great baker and is always the hit at the party with her home baked goods. People often comment that she should open a bakery. Anne also loves crocheting and is a member of the Project Linus Club. It is an organization that hand-knits baby blankets for sick babies and children in hospitals. Anne's favorite hobbies are baking, long walks on the beach or through town, football, baseball and walking Leo in the doggie park. Anne lights up around children and they are always drawn to her. The love she shows to me, our family, neighbors, and children, proves to me that she will be a great mother.
