Our Letter to You
By reading this letter we know that you are courageous, brave and strong. You are making one of the most important decisions in your life and we will always honor, respect and revere your selflessness.
As you peer into our hearts and look at our family, we want you to know the most important part of our family is love. This is also the reason why we are adding to our family through adoption.
We simply feel there is another spirit that needs us, and that we need just as much. Every day it seems there should be another little one in our arms, in the swing, sleeping, or playing.
Adopting a child would be one of the greatest blessings in our lives. You would be part of that blessing. We always planned on adopting, and now that we have tried with medical help to conceive for some time, know that adoption is right for our family. We know that through faith, all things are possible.
Your child deserves a world of possibilities. The least of which is a safe haven and an opportunity to be loved by a mother and a father. Your child would know of you and your desire to give them two parents that are committed to each other and to them. Your child will be raised with an opportunity to go to great schools, read the best books and exercise their own interests. You can be confident that every day your child will be cared for and loved to the very best of our ability. While we will be open and answer any questions they have about you, they will feel right at home because they will be busy being loved by two older sisters and a mom and a dad. Every day will be filled with laughter, hugs and kisses, learning and playing. We are very open minded and will embrace you and your precious baby.
Please let us know if you have any questions or would like to talk with us. We would love to hear your voice, learn about you, and tell you more about our family.
A Little More About Us
Let us tell you a little more about ourselves:
Sarah
I consider myself to be outgoing, energetic, and am always anxious to try new things. I am open, honest, accepting, dedicated, creative, loving and patient. I am a very easygoing person, but at the same time hold myself to firm family values.
I like reading, writing, decorating and organizing. I am always interested in crafty things like sewing, knitting, crocheting and scrapbooking. I love getting together with friends and spending time with family. I also like to shop, cook, spend time in the sun and take long walks.
Tyler
Hi, I'm Tyler. Although I may call myself slightly introverted, I really enjoy having a few close friends. I enjoy using my mind for recreation and in my work. To provide for our family I own my own IT business and am getting my Master's in Business Administration. In my spare time I love hiking and camping. I also enjoy trying to play the piano and like playing tennis. I also like cooking homemade pasta, bread and grilling outside.
Growing up our family lived in Utah until my freshman year of high school when we moved to Michigan. I am the oldest of seven kids, and have always wanted a big family. My mom stays at home with my siblings that are still home and my dad is an engineer. My family loves camping and traveling. Much like my wife's family we would travel across the country visiting historical sites and national parks, camping wherever we were.
Ava (3.5)
Ava is full of joy and light. She enjoys singing, pretending to be mommy and anything having to do with babies or princesses. She is very nurturing and kind, and always looks out for her little sister. She also likes to ride her bike and dance, and is taking ballet lessons. She can already write her name and is learning to write her sister's too. Although she is shy when you first meet her, she is very affectionate and fun-loving.
Violet (2.5)
Violet has a sweet, cuddly personality. She likes putting her babies to sleep and doing anything her big sister does. She loves playing dress up, coloring and playing house. She also likes to build with blocks, go on walks in the stroller and play at the park. She says new words every day and lets us know exactly what she’s thinking.
Daily Life
Our Home
We live in a 3 bedroom townhouse in a large suburban community. We have our eating area and a well organized toy area by the kitchen so I can see them while making dinner. The girls have their own bathroom and Tyler has an office. My favorite piece of furniture is our kitchen table because it can seat 10. All our family and friends can always have a place to sit! There is a park right next to us, along with a grocery store. We are very close to a large university and like to walk to football games. The schools are excellent, as it is an academic community. There are tons of activities for kids everything from music, to dance, to karate to hands-on museums. It is a very culturally diverse area with yummy restaurants, a great farmers market and many places to see musicians perform and experience nature.
Our Parenting Style
We allow our children to make choices in nearly everything they do. We believe in letting our children learn from their choices and talking openly about things. We had a long talk about adopting a baby, and ever since then the girls have prayed every night for a baby and practice holding, rocking and feeding their play babies. We are gentle with our children, and provide consistency for them as parents. We teach them as much as possible through our own actions.
Education and Work
Both Tyler and I have our undergraduate degrees, his in Management Information Systems and mine in Journalism. Tyler is now pursuing his master's in Business Administration from a top university. Education is very important in our family. We believe that with an education valuable life skills such as persistence, dedication, communication and knowledge is learned. The most important education, however, is learned at home by being the best parents we can be, always loving, honest and teaching our children how to serve and have integrity.
Tyler is a Computer Consultant, helping companies organize their computer systems. I worked for two years prior to our oldest daughter's birth in corporate communications, and have been a stay at home mom for almost four years. It is the perfect job for me.
Service and Church
I have a passion for serving teen girls, and this summer went on a canoe trip with girls from the church. I have been active in serving teens for the past three years helping with weekly activities, special events and Sunday lessons. Over the summer we also volunteered in our church Nursery. Once a week the girls and I bring cookies or a baked good to someone in need. It is a great way to instill a generous spirit in our home.
Tyler is great with kids of all ages, and has volunteered as with the Boy Scouts of America as Scoutmaster for the past two years. He has also taught Sunday lessons, organized camping trips and loves goofing around with the boys. He also donates blood to the American Red Cross.
As a family we attend church at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We love the homey feeling it provides, and the fact all those who attend and lead services are donating their time and talents! We believe it provides a firm set of values for families and individuals that help everyone do the best they can in a very challenging world!
Family & Friends
Our family plays an important role in our life. Ava and Violet have lots of doting Aunts and Uncles. They have a close relationship with them and see them often. They also see their grandparents, and great grandparents often. They are the only grandchildren on both sides of the family and love all the attention they get! It is important for us to see them because there is no love like the love you get from your family.
Friends are also a big part of our lives. Our children are the same age, and it is so nice to share experiences with them. We have very supportive friends that we love to have dinner with, enjoy birthdays and talk with every day. One can never have too many friends.

We as a couple are committed to doing EVERYTHING we can to support you during this important time. Emotionally and physically pregnancy can be extremely challenging. Our agency provides birthmother services 100% free, and we encourage you to contact us for more information.
