About Us Fifteen years ago, we met playing soccer in college. We fell in love, became college sweethearts, and then married in our mid twenties. We have now been married for nine years and have a loving supportive relationship.

We lead active lifestyles and enjoy many outdoor activities: hiking, running, camping, soccer, skiing/snow boarding, and relaxing on the beach. We also love to travel, attend art exhibits and plays, and to BBQ in our backyard. We are practicing Christians.

We enjoy taking an annual family vacation to see new places as well as shorter vacations to see friends and extended family. We enjoy being together wherever we are. We have lived in different areas of the country and settled on the east coast to live close to
Dee’s family.

About Scott:
Scott is 35 years old and a wonderful husband and father. He was raised in the Midwest and his work ethic and family values reflect this upbringing. He is a hands-on and loving father. He loves reading “two books night night” to our daughter and would love to have more children to participate in this nightly ritual.

Scott learns new things easily and is usually has at least one active house project. He built his own computer in his teenage years and has been working as a computer engineer since graduating from college. Scott is athletic and enjoys playing and watching most sports. He is also a great cook and is always experimenting with new dishes, especially when family comes to visit.

About Dee:
Dee is 34 years old and a fantastic mother and wife. She is strong and caring and has a very warm personality. She usually has a smile on her face and laughs easily. Dee plays sports for fun and, weather permitting, is usually outside. She has a great sense of humor and laughs easily. She loves making art projects and crafts and coloring outside the lines.

Dee is a stay at home mom during the week and works one weekend day in private practice. She earned a doctoral degree in the social sciences and finds her work very fulfilling and rewarding. Dee is often described as very compassionate and it is not surprising that she enjoys helping others. She also has a master’s degree in child and adolescent psychology. She loves each age and each stage of child development.

Our Daughter We have a 4-year-old daughter who is very excited to become a big sister. She is a kind caring child who loves playing with her family, her preschool friends, her toys, and our cat. She welcomes a little brother or sister with an open heart.

After experiencing many miscarriages over the past three years, we hope to have more children through the gift of adoption. Our greatest joy is parenting.

Our Families:
Scott and Dee each have one sibling and large extended families. There are approximately 50 first cousins both sides combined! We are very fortunate to have three of our own grandmothers active in our lives. Our parents love their roles as grandparents and welcome the opportunity to spoil more grandchildren. They are very supportive of our decision to adopt.

Dee’s parents live close-by and we see them frequently. Scott’s parents and sister’s family live in the Midwest but thankfully visit and vacation with us on a regular basis. Dee’s brother lives on the west coast – a great place to vacation!

Our Community:
Our five-bedroom house is located in a diverse community that offers many opportunities to young families. The school system is excellent and education is an important value to us. Our street has many children and multi-age basketball games are a common sight. There is a great park system in our town and we live in walking distance to a neighborhood park. We are also in driving distance to two major US cities as well as to beautiful beaches. The best of both worlds!
