Congratulations!
Adoption in Progress.

Dear Birthparents,
We want to thank you for taking the time to look at our profile. We are
grateful and honored that have taken the time to learn more about us
and may consider us to be the adoptive parents for your child. We
know that you are facing one of the most important and difficult
decisions in your life. Please know that because you are considering
giving your baby to a loving couple to raise as their own, you are
fulfilling a dream for them. Within the last year, Dave and I have faced
the heart breaking reality that we are unable to have our own biological children but still have the deep hope that we can be parents. Our family and friends have often told us we would be great parents. Because of your courageous decision, you will be able to fulfill the dream of becoming parents to us or another couple like us. Your child will be raised in a loving, nurturing, and stable home. Our family supports our decision to adopt. We're sure that you have many questions and concerns about the future adoptive parents of your child, so let us tell you a little about ourselves.
Why we want to adopt We want very much to be parents. We have tried to have children of our own. After trying for years on our own, we began seeking medical help and began seeing a fertility specialist. After surgery, three rounds of In-vetro fertilization and a miscarriage, we came to the heart breaking reality that we would not be able to have our own biological children. We have not given up hope that we can still be caring, loving supportive parents for a child.

This experience has made us stronger and has brought us even closer as a couple. We still have dreams of raising a child and hope for that wonderful opportunity soon.
About Us Our life together

We feel that love, trust, honesty and laughter are the foundation for our relationship. We feel that it is important to treat each other, our loved ones, friends and complete strangers with kindness and respect. We are big kids and love to play games and watch kids movies. Dave and I both think that having a good sense of humor about life and ourselves is important.
We try to enjoy and appreciate the simple things in life and not to take them for granted. In the summer time we are always outside. We both enjoy gardening. We both are very interested in history and learning new things. We really like to travel. We've traveled to England twice and have also taken trips to Seattle, New Orleans, Washington, DC, and New England. We enjoy going to plays and visiting museums.

Dave and I have been together for 14 years and married for 10 years. We feel that our ideas, beliefs, values, and personalities match perfectly and that our love for each other is strong and unyielding.

About Dave in his words

I grew up in the next town over from where we currently live. I was raised in an Irish Catholic household. I was the youngest of three children.
I joined the U.S. Navy after graduating from high school. I volunteered for the elite U.S. Navy Submarine Service in which I served for 9 years. I obtained an Associate's degree in Business. After serving in the military, I've been working in the financial/insurance industry. I'm currently working towards my Bachelors degree. I enjoy gardening, reading, playing games on my XBOX and PSP and the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Wisconsin Badgers.

About Sharon in her words

I grew up in a small town an hour from where we now live. I grew up in a loving family and we enjoyed doing things together and took summer vacations to different places. I have one brother. We attended church every week. I was involved in Girl Scouts and in high school took three languages, played filed hockey, was in chorus and active in my church youth group.
I graduated from high school and went off to college, where I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Marketing and Spanish. After graduation, I got a job in the financial services industry, I went back to school and earned a Masters degree in Business. I have worked for the same company for 18 years. I inherited the appreciation of gardening from my mother and aunt, who are both sadly no longer with us. After traveling to England, my love of gardening was inspired even more. I have lots of roses and cottage flowers planted my garden. I really enjoy cooking. I love to sit and read through cookbooks looking for new recipes to try. I also like reading mystery novels.

Our Extended Family

Sharon's father lives about an hour away but we are close and see each other often. Her brother, his wife and three young children live and hour away but we still make the time to visit regularly. We enjoy spending time with our nieces and nephews. Our nephew loves visiting with Uncle Dave who will spend hours playing video games with him. The kids know that Aunt Sharon and Uncle Dave have been trying to have children and are looking forward to having a new little cousin. We are godparents for our youngest niece who is now 2 years old.

Dave's family live only a minutes away. He has a brother and sister who each have two children. We enjoy getting together for family game nights and celebrating special occasions, including summer picnics and holiday dinners. His mom visits regularly and is anxiously waiting for a new grandchild to spoil and smother with love. Both of our families have been very supportive with our decision to adopt and are anxiously waiting for a new little member of our family.

Our Home We've been living in our home for 6 years. We moved to our current home which is bigger than our last so we would have more room to raise children and start a family. We have four bedrooms and a fenced back yard. We have lots of flowers and a small vegetable garden. We live in a nice residential neighborhood with a good school district.

We live two blocks from the town park. The park has the town's little league field, pool, tennis courts, play ground and picnic area. We are also within walking distance of one of the other parks in town which has fields for soccer, baseball and football. Our neighborhood is great for taking walks and for bike rides. We live 10 minutes away from a state park. Our town has minor league baseball and hockey teams. We also have many cultural events such as theater, concerts, and all kinds festivals.

We also have one dog, a yellow lab, Zeke. We often say he is 90 pounds of love! He's 10 years old but acts like he's still a puppy. He is a very good dog. He’s gentle and loves to cuddle. Zeke has a very good temperament. You can do almost anything to him. He always wants to be loved. He’s very good with children. He is the star attraction when they come to visit.

Dave and I are both very eager to be given the chance to raise a family, full of love, support, laughter and respect.

Thanks so much for taking the time to learn more about us. We wish you the strength and courage to make this very difficult decision. If you would like to learn more about us, we would be happy to speak to you in person. Please contact our adoption attorney, Barbara Casey at 1-888-323-6788.

We wish you the best of luck!
