Steven & Kim are hopeful adoptive parents from Texas waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Hello, We are Kim and Steven, and we are thankful that you are considering us as part of your adoption plan. Although we don’t know you, we admire your courage, strength and selfless commitment to placing your child in the best possible home. This experience may seem a bit confusing and possibly a little overwhelming, but be encouraged. God has a plan for your life and for the life of your baby.

For several years, it has been on our hearts to adopt a biracial child. In fact, Kim has a mixed racial heritage that includes African-American, White, and Native American. She understands firsthand the struggles that biracial children face growing up, having encountered countless questions about her race throughout her life. Steven also has a mixed racial heritage that includes African-American and Native American. We believe that our diverse backgrounds make us uniquely qualified for adopting a biracial child.
About Us We have been happily married for 11 years and have a loving marriage founded on our belief in Jesus Christ. We met at the age of 9 and 10 years old through a social organization our parents put us in.

Of course, we had no interest in each other at that time. We were just friends and remained that way for years until we ran into each other 20 years later in the lobby of our church. I invited Steven to our weekly singles’ Bible study, and he seemed interested. He started attending, and we began to go out with the singles to restaurants and other activities. We enjoyed each other’s company so much that we started spending time together without the company of our single friends. It was at that time that we both knew we had more than just a friendship. We started dating, and eventually fell in love. Six months later, we got married and we’ve never looked back.

Steven and I are both college-educated and live in a culturally diverse suburban neighborhood within walking distance of excellent schools, lots of parks, and biking trails. God has already blessed us with our beautiful daughter, Kendal, who is 6 years old, along with our dog, a 3 year-old Pug named Kelsey. And now, we would love to expand our family through adoption. And as for Kendal, she is incredibly excited about having a little brother to take care of and play with. In fact, she prays for him each day and is anxious to know when he is going to get here.
About Steven Steven is a strong, but compassionate husband and father who always finds time to be a kid. He is also a very talented business and marketing professional, and he enjoys golf, football, and working out. More importantly, Steven loves spending time with his family, and he enjoys movies, music, and his favorite TV show, Lost. Basically, anything that offers adventure or suspense, Steven is going to love it.

About Kim
Kim is protective but playful, always placing the needs of her family above her own. Kim is a risk management consultant that is fortunate enough to work from home and has a flexible schedule. However, our plan is for Kim to be a stay-at-home mom once we adopt. She enjoys writing, scrapbooking, and reading. She loves to watch movies, but her favorite movies are ones that have a happy ending. She likes music as well, and her favorite TV show is Grey’s Anatomy.
Our Commitment to You We promise to provide unconditional love, strong financial support, great educational opportunities, and a wonderful home life. Please know that we are dedicated to being the best parents that we can be, and we will fill your child’s life with lots of love and laughter. In addition, we will impress upon him that your plan for adoption was the ultimate gift of love - a gift that only you could give him.

God bless you in your decision.
