Jake & Helen are hopeful adoptive parents from Texas waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Jake and I met 12 years ago, and we have been married for over 10 years. We have a love that continues to grow and strengthen every day. We always know, at the end of the day, that we have each other and our family. We have built our love and relationship based on mutual respect for each other, but most importantly, we have built our love through the strength of our faith in Christ. We know that if we hold to our beliefs firmly, our family can accomplish great things!

We hope reading this helps you get an insight into the love we have for each other and the love we have for our son and our family. We hope you can catch a glimpse of the endless love we could share with another child.
Jake

Jake and I met one summer while he was playing baseball with my two older brothers. I fell in love with his generous heart and quick wit. We had many common interests and the same belief in God. I knew he would always put his faith and our family first above all other things. Jake has always been a kind, loving man, always patient and always looking to keep our family happy. He has a gentle spirit that puts anyone at ease. He is an amazing husband and father.

Jake owns his own business, so he can take off work in order to see the important milestones that come with having a family. He is very involved in our son Jack’s life and loves hanging out with him. Jake has been excited for a while to adopt a child. He is looking forward to bonding with another child, and experiencing the joys of fatherhood all over again!

Helen

Helen is something very special. She is as beautiful to me now as she was the first time I saw her. She is kind, thoughtful, and caring…and she is fun to be around. Her lighthearted spirit keeps things from getting too serious in our home. She is an extremely fun, caring and loving mother to our son. Jack is Helen’s number one priority in life. He is extremely smart because Helen spends time talking with him, reading with him, drawing with him, painting with him, singing and dancing with him, and playing with him. She is a stay-at-home mom and Jack definitely loves it that he gets to be with his mom so much.

Eventually, Helen would love to have a big family, especially since she grew up with four brothers. She is great with kids, and our son Jack loves her very much. She has taught him so much in his two-and-a-half years, especially how to be thoughtful and loving…qualities that Jack has picked up by watching her. I know that Helen will be a wonderful mother to many more children and I hope you will consider us when making your decision about who will take care of your little one.
Jack
Jack is a very happy two-and-a-half year old. He is incredibly funny and smart. He is a typical boy and loves to play non-stop all day! He has his daddy’s loving heart and his mama’s playful spirit. He is so loveable and he is looking forward to “sharing with” and “hugging a baby brother or sister.”

Jack loves reading, baseball, trains, fishing, the beach, running, dancing and singing. He would be a great big brother - he has so much to teach a little one. He has been praying for two siblings!

Family

Jake has a wonderful, loving family. They are all strong in their Christian faith and that faith shows in how much they love each other with all their hearts. They would truly do anything for each other and they are such a perfect example to our child of how a family unit should work. They are an inspiration to all who are fortunate enough to be a part of their lives.

Helen has a big family with a big heart. Three of her four brothers are married; one already has four kids, and another had a baby last year. There are already lots of cousins to play with and two of her brothers haven’t yet started having kids! All of her brothers are very competitive, which makes game-time fun. It can get pretty wild at Christmas and Thanksgiving when we play football or a board game.

We all love to go to the beach every summer with family and friends. With all of Jack’s cousins, there is always someone to play with, in or out of the water! We all love building sand castles and sometimes we get a little too into it. When we aren't at the beach in the summer with friends or family, we head to the mountains! We all love to fish and then cook what we catch for supper. Hiking, golf, horseback riding and shopping are always fun while we are there. We stay in the same cabin every year, and it's so much fun to go to the hot springs nearby, or the alligator farm down the road. Jack loves trains, so next year we plan on taking a train ride through the mountains.
Our home
We live in a small town of about 10,000 people and we absolutely love it! Everyone knows each other and it is ideal for raising a family. Jake is very involved in a small-business organization that does a lot of ministry for our community. We were involved in Young Life up until last year and we still continue to stay in contact with the kids we connected with through that organization.

We are very involved with our church group, and we have strong bonds with many of the members. Jack and Helen are also involved in a play group, which meets weekly at a park or somewhere fun, as well as an organization for preschool children.

There is always something to do, whether it is a fair or the circus, a concert, or a play or musical. There are plenty of places to take kids fishing or hiking. Our town really is an amazing, diverse place to live; it is such a blessing to be able to raise a family here.

It is difficult to put to pictures and a few words what kind of family we are in everyday life. Our hope is that we have given you an idea of daily life in our home, as well as our beliefs and hopes and dreams for our family and our future. Your child will always be loved – by us, by our friends and by all of our family. We all look forward to the day when we can complete our family with another child. Our extended family is anxious to meet the newest addition – they will all be waiting with open arms and open hearts. Please know that not a day will go by without your child receiving hugs, kisses, affection, and endless unconditional love.

Blessings to you for your amazing decision to give life, and life to the fullest, to your precious little child. You are always in our hearts and minds and prayers. May God bless you and hold you in His arms as you make the decision of a family for your sweet baby. And may He comfort you in your choice each and every day!
