Hello, Thank you for taking time to learn about our family. We are so grateful for the opportunity to adopt again. We have a wonderful three year old daughter whom we were so blessed to adopt at birth. We had an amazing experience with the adoption process. We admire and respect you and appreciate your consideration of our family.

We have a wonderful marriage and family and would love to be blessed with another child. We love our family, it means everything to us. We have a wonderful three year old daughter, Ava who we were blessed to adopted in 2008. She is loving, kind, smart, happy, playful and will be a great sister. Torben is a great husband and father. Torben has a great career as an attorney and provides very well for our family. Angela loves being a full-time mother and homemaker. We have a secure, loving and fun home. We love being parents. We love our daughter so much and she means more than words can say. We are all very close to each other. Spending time together as a family is very important to us and we enjoy anything that will allow us to be together. We always have fun doing a variety of things; we love to get out and visit events, sites, places and the outdoors. We love family, friends, holidays, walks, seasonal and outdoor activities. We all love music. We enjoy life and getting out there, but also make the most of everyday moments - or just hanging out in our backyard and home. We love spending time with our extended family and they are very loving and supportive. Torben is the oldest of five boys. Angela is the oldest of five sisters and two brothers. We both have loving families and had wonderful childhoods. Torben has a Juris Doctorate degree and Angela has a Bachelor's degree. Adoption is an immense blessing and we will always do everything we can for the benefit of the children we are blessed with.

Angela loves her family and being a full time mother and homemaker. Angela is a happy person who loves life and enjoys making the most out of it. I love her so much – she is an amazing individual and friend, a truly beautiful person who makes life wonderful. Angela is a wonderful mother who is loving, caring, comforting and dedicated. She truly has a gift for being a mother, ensuring that all of Ava's needs are met in every area. It is such a joy to see Ava smile at her mother's love. Angela is genuine, intelligent, and a spiritual individual who loves the gospel. She is sincere, passionate, appreciates beauty and detail, and has a wonderful strength within her. Angela is a great teacher and has many other talents which she will contribute to raising a child, something that she has always desired. Her heart is pure and she loves others unconditionally. Angela is very creative and enjoys a variety of things, including fashion, art, swimming, tennis, dancing, outdoor activities, baking, music and her iPod, photography, movies and many others. About Torben (written by Angela):
Torben is such a great husband and father. Family always comes first and is very important to him. Torben has a wonderful career as an attorney. He loves the book, "To Kill a Mockingbird." He read this book when he was younger and knew that he wanted to be an attorney. Torben is a very genuine, smart, open-minded, patient, fun, and loving individual. I love him so much – he is my best friend and is always there for me. Just being close to him is comforting and peaceful. Our marriage is wonderful and we love and appreciate each other. He always makes me feel special, I love spending time with him. Torben is a wonderful father, he loves Ava completely. He is a loving, caring, fun, and patient father. He is the best father I have ever seen. He laughs and plays with Ava, she adores him. He is intelligent and loves reading, writing, and learning. He is easy to talk to, receptive, non-judgmental and a great listener. Torben likes to have fun, is happy, enjoys life and has a great sense of humor. He loves being with family, listening to music, reading, and a variety of activities. He is active and loves playing soccer, golf, basketball, tennis and any other sport. He is dedicated to his family, loves us, spends quality time with us and makes sure we have all we need. He works hard, and is a wonderful attorney at a great firm, provides well, and maintains an excellent balance by making family the biggest priority. He is an amazing husband and father I am so grateful to be married to him and love him very much.

About Ava:
Ava is a beautiful little three year old girl in so many ways. She is happy, healthy and full of life. She loves to talk and say "Hi" in such a happy way. She loves playing with other children. She will be such a great sister. She loves every experience from bath time to visiting the zoo. She is very detail oriented and notices everything. Ava is very smart, she learns so fast and is very observant. She loves the outdoors and animals. She is very happy and friendly. She is very loving, she snuggles and gives lots of hugs and kisses. She has such sweet depth in her eyes and is truly special. She loves family, other children and people. She really enjoys playing with kids, playing with mommy and daddy, holidays, the park, the zoo, the aquarium, the farm, our backyard, walks, art, play dough, blocks, dollies, flowers, bouncy balls, and dancing. Ava is constantly laughing and playing, and loves to dance whenever she hears music. She is very creative and curious. She is such a blessing to us, she has the most amazing spirit and heart. She means everything to us. We had such a wonderful experience with her adoption and are so grateful to everyone that was involved. Her little eyes are so full of life. She is so much fun and such a joy to be around. It is truly a blessing to be able to play a part in her life. We love her more than anything and cherish each moment we with her. She will be such a great big sister.

Our Background Both of us were raised with wonderful parents, siblings, friends and extended family. We love our families and are very close to them. We both enjoyed school and met each other during college. “How we met” from Angela: “Torben came over to my friends apartment (which I was hanging out at) to borrow something and I remember meeting him and saying ‘your name Torben is so interesting,’ and he told me that it is Danish and that he has Danish family. We started talking and he asked me out. We went with his friend and my friend on a double date to a fun Hollywood comedy show and then for hot chocolate.” We had so much fun dating, fell in love and were married in December of 1997. Thereafter, we graduated from college - Angela with a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology and Torben with Bachelor degrees in English and Political Science. Torben subsequently graduated from Law School with a Juris Doctorate degree in 2002. Torben has a wonderful career enjoys working as an attorney. Angela is a mother and homemaker. Our daughter Ava is the best thing that has ever happened to us. We love her more than words can say, and look forward to another little one. We are best friends and still love doing anything together as a family.

Background for Angela:
I am the oldest of seven children, five girls, and two boys. I love my family and friends, and they have taught me a lot. As a child I loved being creative and playing all sorts of things. I loved creating art and reading books. I was very involved in dancing, tap, ballet, and jazz. I enjoyed my childhood. I loved playing with my sisters and friends. I enjoyed piano, skiing, tennis and volleyball. In junior and senior high school I was involved in dance, drama and student leadership. I loved music (and still do) and listened to my pink boom box. I loved fashion and shopping (and still do). I enjoy learning and loved college, where I was involved socially and academically. My family means the world to me and has always been there for me. My mother is amazing and she has taught me so much. I have had so many wonderful friends and so much fun with them. I graduated from college with my Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Pathology and enjoyed using my education in working with elementary school children. I LOVE being a mother and we have so much fun as a family.

Background for Torben:
As a child, I loved to read and write – something I still do every chance I can get. Growing up with a house full of boys, we were always very active and involved. I especially loved playing all kinds of sports and spending time outdoors. I still am an avid sports fan, playing and participating in my favorites, particularly soccer. Since I was young, my favorite team has been the Arsenal soccer team from London, England and I enjoy following them even today. I was able to turn my love of sports into an actual high school job, working as a ball boy and locker room attendant for our local NBA professional basketball team. I also was the captain of my debate team, editor of school newspaper, and played on the football, tennis and track teams, and spent the summers as a counselor at a Boy Scout summer camp. All these experiences helped me be a successful college student, professional and a husband and father. I love, and enjoy spending time with my family.
