Chris & Saloni
are hopeful adoptive parents from Michigan waiting to adopt a baby.
If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.
Hello! We are Chris and Saloni, and we are so grateful that you are taking the time to get to know us. Our home and our hearts are filled with love.
We were fortunate to adopt our daughter in 2012 and are looking to grow our family. We still maintain a very good relationship with our daughter’s birthmother, and if that is something you would like we would be happy to make similar arrangements with you.
We understand that you are most likely going through a very difficult time, and we respect that you are making the ultimate sacrifice out of love for your child.
If you give us the privilege of raising your child, we promise to provide the love, support, security and care that (s)he deserves.
After meeting at work and discovering that we are truly soulmates who are meant to be together forever, we got married in January, 2007. We live in a nice suburb in Michigan, near where Saloni was raised. We have been fortunate to be together for a number of years, and as a result feel that our relationship is loving and solid and can support a growing family.
Our city is very family-friendly, with activities ranging from summer concerts to winter festivals. We have several beautiful children’s play areas nearby with well maintained playgounds and sprinkler parks. Together, we enjoy exercising regularly, taking our daughter to the local park and other outdoor activities.
We have been fortunate to be able to take some fun trips as we both enjoy traveling. Our favorite destinations were Alaska, Paris and Hawaii! We most recently took an extended family trip with our parents, siblings, cousins and nieces & nephews – a Caribbean cruise where we all enjoyed some sunshine and good times together.
About Chris (by Saloni)
Chris’ path after college led him to his current position as a marketing manager about 20 minutes from where we live. He is truly a kid at heart, and he is usually the favorite of the kids at any family gathering. He is very family centered, and is extremely close to his siblings and parents. My favorite things to do with Chris are enjoying our family weekend mornings at Panera bread or just being at home with a rented movie and a pizza. Over the years, I have been absolutely amazed and touched by Chris’ dedication to our family and home. He finished our basement by himself! It has been wonderful seeing him grow into the role of a father – his patience is amazing and he is always thinking of fun things to do with our daughter.
About Saloni (by Chris)
Saloni has worked in the business field her entire career and is currently also in marketing. The things that I admire most about her are her kindness toward everyone she meets and her belief that family comes first. Saloni has more love in her heart to give than I ever thought it was possible for one person to have. Her favorite hobbies are crafts and horseback riding - she can’t wait to teach our little girl how to ride our horse one day (he lives at a stable nearby). Saloni also enjoys photography - taking pictures of family & friends or of our travels and then touching them up at home. Most importantly, Saloni has given our daughter a wonderful start to her life. Our little girl is very healthy and very happy, and she has already learned so much, and without a doubt this is primarily because Saloni is such a wonderful mother.
As parents, we know in our hearts that our children will always be first in our lives – that loving, caring for and guiding children as they grow is what we were meant to do.
We are both very close to our immediate and extended families. Siblings, parents, and cousins are a regular part of our lives, and they are extremely important to us. Our extended family gatherings usually involve about 30 people on each side of the family. Chris has two brothers he spends time with regularly, and Saloni has one sister she likes to attend cooking classes with.
Our family was very supportive of our first adoption, and they are thrilled that we want to adopt another child. They have tremendous love for and care so much about our first daughter, and they cannot wait for another grandchild, cousin and niece/nephew!
Our weekends are usually filled with family time - fun and games inside the home as well as soccer and swim class for our daughter.
Our home is filled with love, laughter and toys! We’ve carved out a large play area in our home that is where we spend a lot of our time together. We have a large backyard so there is plenty of room to run and play. We also share our home with our lovable dog - he’s a little Lhasa Apso that we rescued from a shelter a few years ago and he is absolutely wonderful with kids.
We live near walking paths and community parks – our city is very family-friendly with lots of activities, especially in the summer. Our home is fairly close to our families, which makes weekend family weekend visits an easy part of our routine.
If we are blessed with a second adoption, Saloni will be taking a leave of absence from work. She works from home a couple of days a week, and both of our mothers will be helping to care for our children on days Saloni is in the office.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little bit about us. We hope this has given you a glimpse of what our lives are like – and most importantly, what the life of your child may be like in our care.
We want your child to be proud of his/her adoption story. We will ensure that your child is told about your love for him/her, and how important a part of her life you really are and will always be. We would be happy to share stories, pictures and letters with you as your child grows. We promise to give your child the wonderful life that he/she deserves.
Thank you for considering us, and we hope we get the privilege of raising your child in our home.
