Steve & Kelli are hopeful adoptive parents from Florida waiting to adopt a baby.
If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Greetings from Sunny Florida!
Our names are Steve and Kelli, and we have two beautiful daughters, Allison and Ashley, who can’t wait for the day we bring a new baby into our home. Words can’t describe the emotions that are going on in our house right now. We are all so excited about our adoption journey. We can’t begin to understand the emotions you are experiencing, but hopefully learning about us will help give you peace with your difficult decision.
We have struggled with infertility for several years as well as a very heartbreaking miscarriage. These struggles have been very difficult on both of us, but we have grown closer through these challenging times. We feel in our hearts that God is really leading us to adopt and this makes us both so excited. Kelli’s Mom is adopted so adoption has always been so special in our family. In fact, she recently found her birth family and now has a relationship with all of her siblings. Seeing Kelli’s Mom’s instant love for her biological family let’s us seek comfort in knowing we are very willing to have an open adoption relationship. However, we also respect if you desire a more private adoption. We feel this decision needs to be ultimately up to you, and with good communication we can all work together to make you comfortable.
About Us
Steve (from Kelli):
Steve and I are high school sweethearts who have been happily married for over 11 years. Words can’t describe how Steve is as a husband to me. He is my earthly rock. When I’m sad, he makes me laugh. When I’m stressed, he calms me down. He is very gentle and he has a huge heart. Steve is also a lot of fun and very romantic. He is known to plan surprise dates that might have me riding a horse, go carting, or a romantic dinner on the beach. I couldn’t ask for a better man to be my husband and raise our children with me.
Steve is an amazing Daddy. He loves anything that involves being out on the water, so he takes our girls tubing, fishing, to the beach, and dolphin watching all the time. They love being on the boat with their Daddy. It is not an uncommon event on the weekends for Steve to take the girls to the local store by boat to get a special treat. Steve is looking forward to teaching them how to knee board and then wake board. He loves the boat, but you will also find him snuggling on the couch with the girls watching cartoons or reading a book. He is calm and patient, but always knows how to get the girls giggling!
Kelli (from Steve):
I had a crush on Kelli from the moment I met her. I was physically attracted to her, but more importantly, her personality grabbed my attention immediately. She is my best friend. I trust her with all my heart. She is fun to be around and always knows how to have a good time. She is also very loving and full of hugs and kisses. I enjoy every moment we spend together, whether it’s on a fancy date or a movie night in.
Kelli is the Mommy all the kids love to be around. She is very hands on and loves to play with the kids. She loves doing arts and crafts with the girls, playing games, going to the beach, singing silly songs, and playing outside. She is always there to wipe away any tears and make the girls feel safe. She is a former elementary school teacher so school is very important to her. She remains very active in the girls’ education both at school and at home. She has a love for music and dancing, so sometimes she has all the furniture moved and is having a “dance party” with the girls.
A Glimpse Of Us As A FAMILY
We are an active family that loves to do things together. One weekend you may find us relaxing by our pool, but the next weekend we could be headed to Disney. We have turned into Disney lovers, since our two princesses can’t seem to get enough of “Mickey’s House.” We love travel, and we feel blessed that we are able to travel often. We have traveled with our girls since they were very young. We feel like our family vacations are memories that will last a lifetime.
We love to have fun! Whether we are all rocking out on the wii band, playing mini golf, bowling, or at the beach, we are always laughing.
We have our own business, so this gives Steve a lot of flexibility to be a part of all the special moments in our children’s lives. He is able to go to all the school performances, special events, or just a Daddy lunch date at school. Our business has been very successful, allowing Kelli to be a stay at home Mommy. She has her dream job!
All of our friends know that our kids are spoiled. Sometimes our friends want us to adopt them. ☺ However, we have taught our girls to be grateful for the lives they live and never to take things for granted. We feel like we have taught our girls to love everyone, forgive always, and be giving. We strive to raise them in a Christian environment to prepare them for the future.
Our girls are so excited about the blessing of a new baby!!! Our youngest, Ashley, can’t wait to cuddle and make the baby laugh. Our oldest, Allison, wants to be Mommy’s helper with the baby. They both have such love for babies. We have all been praying for this very special moment to become a reality.
Our extended family will also be thrilled when our newest addition arrives. We are fortunate to live very close to all our family. Both sets of our parents live less than 10 minutes away. This makes it very close for lots of Grandma and Papa snuggles.
Our Home:
We live on the Gulf of Mexico, so water is a huge part of our lives. Our girls were swimming before they were walking! Our street is very quiet, but the weekends are always filled with kids. We have lots of friends and family that love to visit “our resort” as they call it. We don’t have a huge house, but it is filled with lots of love. It’s the house that all the kids want to hang out at, and we love that they all want to be here.
With Love
With love, we end this letter in hopes that you were able to get a small glimpse of who we are as a family. Please know that our children mean more to us than one could ever explain in words. Our newest blessing will be no different. Your baby will be loved unconditionally and will always know how much you love him/her. It is so difficult to sum up our life in such little space. We welcome you to call us or write to us with any questions you may have. We want you to feel at peace with your decision, and we will do anything we can do to help you feel this way. We will always be open and honest with you.
