Ryan & Ashlee are hopeful adoptive parents from Texas waiting to adopt a baby.
If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Dear Birth Mother,
We have no idea what you have experienced and felt throughout this journey, so we are not going to pretend that we do. We know you are a strong, brave, and courageous woman. The gift you are giving to a family is beyond amazing. The child we bring into our family will be raised knowing that the adoption plan was made with thoughtfulness, compassion, and love.
We are excited that you are looking at our profile and hope that you are able to see how anxious we are to start a family! We hope this profile allows you to glance into our lives and get a sense of our morals and values. We are very family oriented and excited to be able to share our family with you!
ABOUT US
We both started graduate school in 2004. We had the same major and had a lot of classes together. After many group projects, we started dating in January, 2005. Before long, we were spending all of our free time together and quickly fell in love! We were engaged about a year later and married in September, 2007.
One of our favorite pastimes is traveling and exploring new places. We catch a plane every chance we get - traveling with friends and family! We enjoy experiencing other cultures, meeting new people, and trying all the local foods. We are looking forward to having a new little travel companion to join us on our future trips around the world!
We also love to cook & eat! We enjoy going to farmers' markets for fresh and local produce. We have a couple ranches and farms nearby where we purchase the majority of our food. Having a natural and healthy diet is very important to both of us. We know that it's the best choice, not only for our health, but for the environment as well.
Ashlee loves to bake fresh bread, cobblers, and cookies. She has an herb garden on the back patio so she always has fresh herbs to cook with. Ryan loves to grill out in the backyard. He makes excellent hamburgers and homemade salsa.
ABOUT RYAN
(Written by Ashlee)
Ryan is the most sincere and caring person I have ever met. He comes from a pretty big family (3 brothers & 1 sister) and his family always comes first, no matter what.
He stays pretty active in his spare time. He is very handy and is always building something or working on our house. Bike riding is one of his favorite hobbies. He even rode from California to Washington, DC twice during college raising money for a charity. He plays disc golf with his friends a couple times a month and they go camping once or twice a year.
He loves music and has a huge vinyl record collection. Classic rock is always being played at our house! He is also a huge sports fan. His favorite day of the year is Opening Day for professional baseball.
ABOUT ASHLEE
(Written by Ryan)
Ashlee is the most creative and inspiring person that I know. Since the first day we met she has been my best friend. She constantly challenges herself to learn and try new things and is always encouraging me to do the same.
Some of her favorite new hobbies are cooking and learning Spanish. When we met six years ago, she could barely make toast, but now we spend almost every night together eating a home cooked meal. She is also teaching herself Spanish and impresses me every day with how quickly she is able to pick it up.
She grew up near the mountains of North Carolina and has always enjoyed being outdoors. We like to go on walks together at night and have a picnic in the park every year for our Anniversary.
Ashlee is the most positive person that I have ever met and she is always able to put a smile on my face.
OUR FAMILY
All of our parents live in our town. We have lots of grandparents anxious to meet their newest grandchild!
Ashlee's parents are called Pappy and Grandma Nita. Ryan's mom and step dad are called Nonnie and Grandaddy. Ryan's dad and step mom are called Popsey and Didee.
We have six nieces and nephews! We love spending time with them and love being able to be an active part of their lives as they grow.
With so much family in town, we are always celebrating something! Anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, graduations, or a get-together just because!
One of the longest standing traditions is decorating the Christmas tree at Ryan's mom's house. Ryan and his brothers (along with wives & nieces) gather around the fire and decorate the tree with handmade ornaments from their childhood. For Christmas dinner, Ryan's Italian mom cooks a very traditional Italian meal with pasta and fish.
For Thanksgiving, we usually drive a few hours into the country to spend time with Ryan's father's extended family. There are about 50 people there and more Thanksgiving dishes than you can imagine! All of the kids play games in the yard, while the adults are cooking and watching football on television. We end the night with drinking hot chocolate by a huge bonfire.
We spend every Easter morning at church with Ashlee's parents and then go back to their house for a home cooked Easter dinner. Her parents also love to travel and they include us in their plans as often as possible. Whether it is to a beach in Mexico or a cabin in the mountains, these trips are always a relaxing and enjoyable break.
OUR PROMISE TO YOU
We promise to always cherish what you have done for us. We promise to honor and respect the decision you have made. We promise to educate your child on the selfless sacrifice you have made and that he or she knows that it was done out of love.
We promise to provide your child with all of the opportunities in life that we have been blessed with. We promise to encourage and support your child's interests and aspirations. We promise to provide a stable and safe environment where education and loving discipline are a priority.
Above all, we promise to love your child.
With much love,
Ryan & Ashlee
