David & Lisa are hopeful adoptive parents from Virginia waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Hello, We really appreciate you taking the time to get to know us and we hope we get the opportunity to know you as well.

We got married four years ago and think our wedding - which was a five-day event in the mountains - is a good representation of who we are. First, we love being with our family and friends. Second, we love being outdoors and active. And third, we love to celebrate. We even surprised our guests by entering the wedding reception on a zip line.

We knew we wanted a home filled with children. We've been incredibly blessed with a fun-loving little boy and know our family is not yet complete. Our thoughts and prayers have turned towards adoption. We're excited about this path and believe it provides God another way to bring a child into our family.
Our life Family is the center of everything we do. We have built our lives around a positive family environment. Our home has lots of room for children to play with a lawn and a white picket fence. Located in the "inner suburbs," our neighborhood has tons of kids with many family events year-round. Halloween is especially exciting in our neighborhood because our home is the corner house and we decorate the yard, complete with fog machines and a graveyard. We love dressing up and having friends and their children join us to hand out candy to the more than 400 trick-or-treaters who come to our house.

David's office is just 15 minutes from our home and Lisa works part time out of our home for a very family-friendly company. Lisa's hours are flexible and ensure she is home during the day to raise our family. With plenty of time to play, she and our son can be found at one of the six parks within walking distance from our home or on a bike ride on the bike trail two blocks from our house.

Both of us have many great memories of family vacations; road trips to the Grand Canyon, visiting grandparents at the beach, and snow skiing trips to the mountains. With family and friends across the country and around the world, travel is something we love to do. We are fortunate to have the financial resources to continue these travel traditions with our children and look forward to giving them the same type of experiences.
Our faith is the foundation of our family and we attend church each Sunday. We both have many happy memories at church activities growing up and hope our children will have those experiences as well.

Sports have been a big part of our lives, and fitness is important to us individually and as a family. Lisa played high school tennis, basketball, and softball and David played soccer and ran cross country for his college. We want to share this love for fitness and competition with our children and hope they learn the same discipline and values we have through athletics as well as the importance of working together as a team.

The holidays are always spent with family. Whether we're at the grandparents, the cousins’, or our house, Easter includes two things - church and a crazy egg hunt. Hundreds of eggs are hidden and it's a mad dash to search high and low for all of the treats. Christmas time is filled with lots of activities and traditions. We go caroling, decorate cookies, and visit Santa. One year the cousins read the story from the bible and acted it out - complete with homemade costumes and a cardboard box stable. The first weekend in December we host a large Christmas brunch open house for family and friends. Our tree is trimmed, the lights are up, and our house smells like a bakery. It's a favorite day for us because our home is filled with so much love.
Meet our son, Bodie Bodie is two years old and can't wait to be a big brother. He loves sports - especially football - and has recently learned to "celebrate" a touchdown with a dance, it's pretty funny. He is a gentle, happy little boy filled with so much joy. A few of his buddies have new babies in their homes and Bodie loves to kiss their toes and hold the bottle for their feedings. A baby brother or sister will definitely get a lot of love from Bodie.

Fun. This, more than any other word, summarizes how we live our life. We would be honored to provide your child a life filled with lots of love, laughter, encouragement, and security.

We hope to hear from you Send us a message. Thank you.
