Craig & Amy are hopeful adoptive parents from Texas waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Dear Birthmother - We thank you for taking the time to review our profile, and are excited to share with you a little bit about ourselves. We deeply admire the courage and strength you have shown in your decision to pursue adoption as a choice for you and your child, and are grateful to be considered as adoptive parents.

It is so hard to tell you in this profile all that we want you to know, but hopefully something about us will touch your heart. Our promise to you is that we will love your child unconditionally and we will express our love to him or her daily. We will nurture, guide and support your child with all that we have.

Thank you again for taking the time to review our profile. You and your child will always be in our prayers. Should you choose us, we will be eternally thankful to you for the incredible joy you will bring to our lives.

The story of us -

It all started with a nervous phone call to a pretty girl. Craig was looking for the perfect date to his high school senior prom and took a friend’s suggestion to ask Amy. Thankfully she said yes and the rest is history!

We have been together now for over 17 years, of which we have been happily married for ten. The time has been filled with great memories of long distance phone calls between different colleges, movie and ice cream dates, a beautiful wedding, a tiny 1st apartment, buying a house to make our home, and adding Sammie (our beagle) to the family. Every day we are thankful for a partner and a love that continues to grow stronger.

We both work hard in our careers (Craig in consulting and Amy in marketing), but love to play as well. Some of our favorite things to do together include: relaxing on the weekends, live music and dancing, traveling to new places, watching sporting events, taking Sammie on walks and spending time with friends and family. We feel very blessed to have each other, a wonderful family and amazing friends in our lives.

We are confident that adoption is God’s plan for us, and are now ready to add a little one to the mix!
About Craig –
(By Amy)

Craig is the most amazing person I know. I am so lucky since he is not only my husband, he is also truly my best friend, soul mate and love of my life. The things I love most about him are his patience, willingness to do and try anything, funny attitude, and brain. He makes me laugh all the time and I feel complete when I am with him.

Craig is amazing with children. We are lucky to be very close to our friends’ children and they all call him Uncle Craig and want him to play. He loves to play sports with the boys and one time even let one of the girls paint his toes with blue glitter nail polish. He is extremely kind and gentle. I know he will be an incredible dad!

things he loves -
golf, fishing, cheering for his favorite team, camping, tennis, grilling, McDonald’s, home improvement projects

About Amy –
(by Craig)

Amy is the most beautiful and kind-hearted person I know. She is always quick to help others in need, and is truly the definition of a friend. Whether it is babysitting in a pinch, delivering food to exhausted new parents, or simply sending a thoughtful note, she has the natural ability to brighten the day of those around her just when they need it most. I love that she is bold and courageous, with strong faith and conviction. There is no question that she has made me a better person, and I love her for it.

Amy is also a very nurturing person, and I cannot wait to see her as “mommy”. If the love she gives our beagle or friends’ kids are any indication, we will have one lucky child! She is always ready to read a story, color a picture, or kiss a scratch.

things she loves -
M&M’s, watching TV, going to the movies, snuggling with Sammie, all animals, shopping, lunch with girl friends
About Sammie –

Sammie is the sweetest dog we know! When we first brought her home it was love at first sight. We went out just to “research” a puppy, but once we met her we could not walk away. She is now 8 1/2 years old and is extremely gentle with children. Sammie is very social and loves to follow mommy and daddy around the house, but she is really just looking for the next great place to take a nap!

things she loves -
snuggling with mom, treats, laying in the sun, kids with food, going on walks, posing for Christmas cards, sleeping

Our Families –
Nothing is more important to us than family, and we are fortunate that ours are so loving and supportive. Amy is the youngest of three, and Craig is the oldest of two. Both of us have wonderful childhood memories of family road-trips and time spent with grandparents. Since we began dating in high school, our families have known each other for a long time! Our families are close, so we are able to spend many holidays together. Both of us have family members who were adopted (Amy’s brother and Craig’s first cousin) and we feel blessed to have families that are very excited about our journey.

Our parents supported us in experiencing all we wanted while teaching us to be responsible, caring and respectful of others. They have been wonderful examples for us and we can’t wait for our child to meet them!

Time with Friends -

Friends are near and dear to us, and we try to spend as much time with them as possible. We are blessed to have a close group of friends that truly are part of our extended family. Over the years we have stood next to each other at weddings, supported each other in times of need, and welcomed new additions to a fast growing clan!

Most of our friends have children, and we happily fill the role of “aunt Amy and uncle Craig”! It is such a joy to be able to play with them and watch them grow. We are honored to be god parents to two sweet children, and it is a role we accept with great responsibility. Just as we work to set good examples for our friends’ children, we know our friends will be amazing resources once we begin to raise our child. From birthday parties to sporting events and recitals, we cannot wait for the day that our child joins the fun!
Our Home and Neighborhood –

This is the 3-bedroom, 2-bath house that we have made our home over the past 9 years. We live in a wonderful, older neighborhood with big trees and friendly neighbors. While we have the conveniences of living in a big city, our neighborhood definitely has a small community feel. It has been amazing to watch the increase of children playing in the yards, and the active parent involvement has helped build a top-notch school district. There are also plenty of parks and trails to keep busy with all types of outdoor activities, from riding bikes to paddling canoes. We can’t wait to help our child explore!

Thank you –

Thank you so much for taking the time to review our profile as you search for a family to adopt your child. We hope that you will consider us in your adoption plan and are always open to answer any questions you may have.

Please know that if we are so lucky to be chosen by you, we will be honored and blessed to have your child as part of our family. As parents we promise to love your child with all we have, and to give all we can give. We will provide a safe environment filled with laughter, adventure and fun! We will raise our child to be honest, courteous, hard-working, and respectful of themselves and others. Life is full of great experiences. We want our child to be able to experience anything their heart desires. We will help them find their passion as a child whether in sports, academics or arts. We will help guide them in their future to help find God’s plan for them. We will be supportive in their decisions. When they make mistakes, as we all do, we will be a place they can turn to for support and a good hug.

We have the utmost respect for the choice you have made and know that it is a difficult decision. We sincerely wish you all the best.

Love –
Amy and Craig
