Mark & Becky are hopeful adoptive parents from Utah waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Dear Friend As you search for the best decision for you and your unborn baby, we pray for you at this tender time in your life, with such an incredible and difficult decision. Thank you for considering adoption. To make important life decisions for yourself, and for your unborn child demands an enormous amount of courage, strength, and love. We can only imagine it can be a very lonely time. We are here for you if you need a friend. We are excited to share with you a little about our family.
About Us Our names are Mark and Becky. After years of dating, we both found ourselves on the internet to help our search. Our first communication was by phone or email for a couple of weeks, before our first delightful evening together. We met at a nice restaurant for a fun dinner. We laughed and talked like we had known each other much longer, and we even shared our entrée with one another. After dinner we didn’t want to part yet, so we ended up taking a stroll around the Temple in the moonlight. It was a fun and exciting night. We both felt an immediate connection, and we both were surprised at how easy and comfortable it was to talk to each other and laugh with each other. We are very fortunate that we were able to find in each other what we were looking for.

Our greatest desire is to raise a family together. Mark has three children from his previous marriage who live out of state. The situation is that we only get to see them 2 -3 times a year. We love and miss them terribly. We want to start a family of our own. We have struggled with sadness, and heartbreak in our desire to become parents. Our years of infertility have also brought us great strength and a deepened commitment and love for each other. We both love children and have the means to love, support, and raise them in a happy home.

We love to travel, and take vacations. Have you seen our pictures? In the summer time we enjoy going to the many lakes in the area to swim, and relax. We often go out in the family boat, with a picnic lunch. Our favorite trips during the past 2-3 years have been to Disney World and Disneyland. We are very close with the extended family, and have often gone with them. We love being with the nieces and nephews and seeing Disneyland from their perspective. It brings us joy to have family around us. Last summer we went to Arizona to visit Mark’s parents, and his extended family. Becky also has family there too, which allows us to visit both families when we travel there. We love it! We are so grateful to have a close-knit family on both sides.

Mark works as an electronics technician. He enjoys tinkering with electronics and getting them to work again. Becky is a Registered Nurse, working with premature babies in a Newborn Intensive Care Unit. She loves taking care of these precious and small ones. Once we have a child placed with us, Becky will only work part time to keep up her license.
About Mark I graduated from high school in Arizona. I have fond memories of my young adult years living there. Four of my close friends and I formed a DJ “band” and provided music for many high school and church dances in the area. In high school I was involved with the swim team and wrote articles for the school newspaper.

My mother was a piano teacher at an elementary school prior to meeting my father. I was blessed with her musical genes. I took piano when I was young, and in elementary school enjoyed performing in chorus. After my mission for the LDS Church I returned to college and enjoyed singing in the “University Chorale”. During that time, I was excited to perform in “The Forgotten Carols” as backup singers to Michael McLean. While attending Mesa Community College in Arizona, our institute choir sang at the Arizona Temple. Today, I enjoy singing in church from time to time. I am a current member of the ward choir.

Becky's thoughts about Mark:

Mark is my best friend! We are open with each other and talk about everything. He is a devoted and caring husband. He always is there for me as a strength and supporter of anything I am doing. He loves me dearly, and I simply love and adore him. He is an excellent father. Our lives are built on mutual respect, love, and dedication to each other and to our Savior, Jesus Christ.
About Becky I was bit with the travel bug from an early age. Growing up we would take fun road trips. We would visit out of state relatives, or find ourselves in some other random place. I remember visiting Yellowstone, traveling up the California coastline, just to name a few. My family visited Europe when I was a teenager touring Austria, Germany, and Rome, Italy. I love to see new sights and experience new cultures, even if I can’t speak the language!

I also served a mission to Georgia. This time was very special, challenging, and rewarding. My relationship to my Father in Heaven grew tremendously, as did my testimony of my Savior Jesus Christ, and His restored gospel on the Earth today. I am very glad for the growth and knowledge I gained at this time.

In college I was also fortunate to spend a semester abroad in the Holy Land. What an adventure! Walking in the place the Savior lived in mortality brought me closer to Him in wonderful ways. I was able to study in depth His life, His ministry, walking the same roads, and traveling the same places as He did. Swimming in the Sea of Galilee helped me see why the Savior loved that place so much. It was peaceful and serene. Traveling the dusty roads to see where he performed some of his great miracles allowed me to step into the scriptures and appreciate Him in new ways. I love my Savior Jesus Christ and I know that the power of the Atonement is very real, and He will help us overcome whatever trials are placed before us.

Mark's thoughts about Becky:

Becky is my best friend. We enjoy doing lots of fun things together. Camping, picnicking, swimming, and vacationing. What surprises me everyday is her care and compassion towards people, and especially me! She is always there to make sure that my needs are met. She is the most important person in my life, and has an incredible sense of humor too! She makes me smile, and makes me laugh.

Most of all is her incredible faith and testimony of Jesus Christ, and of His gospel. It is the foundation for our lives. She is always there to spiritually strengthen me.

In Conclusion

We know that adoption is a wonderful, loving option that will bless our lives. We know that the only way this is possible is by a very selfless and loving choice that birth parents make for their child. We thank you so much for the time you have taken to get to know us a little better. We pray for you in this time of need, and know that the Lord will bless you.
