We've Adopted a Son

Hello Thank you for taking the time to read and find out about us. We are hoping to start a family through adoption and eventually adopt another child as well. We can't begin to imagine the difficult time you are going through right now, but we know you must be a strong person to consider an adoption plan. Hopefully, this can give you some insight into the love and joy we have to give to your baby.

Our decision to adopt came after several failed attempts at in vitro. That was almost three years ago and we have been waiting to adopt ever since. We even have a nursery ready that will be perfect for either a boy or a girl. Paula loves pigs so the nursery is a barnyard theme with horses, pigs, and chickens.

Since we like to travel, we have been doing a lot of that while waiting for our turn to adopt. As you will see from our photos, one of our favorite places to go is the beach. Our wedding was even on the beach. We can’t wait until we have a little one to bring along to play with in the sand.

We also spend a lot of time with our families. We see them at least once a week for dinner. Both of our families live close by. Michael's brother, Matt lives five houses down the street from us. Holiday time is typically spent at our house with both of our families combined. We enjoy entertaining and know how important it is to spend precious time with family and friends.

Michael is an accountant and he also spends a lot of his time doing volunteer work at a local YMCA camp that he attended as a child and then worked at as a counselor. Paula works from home part time so she will be able to stay at home and spend lots of time with a baby.

We will provide a wonderful life for your baby. We want your child to have every opportunity to go to college and fulfill all their dreams. Both of us are college graduates and know how important education is. They will have opportunities for soccer teams, gymnastics, cooking classes, whatever they want to try and explore. We want to take them on fantastic vacations. They will grow up in a great neighborhood with lots of other kids and a huge backyard. We have so much we want to do and lots of memories we want to make. We are just missing the most important part of the puzzle!

Paula about Michael Michael is the most thoughtful, honest, and generous man I have ever known. Every day he shows me he loves me by just the simple things he says or does. He is also always willing to give his time and energy to help others. He enjoys going to the YMCA camp to do some hard work to make the camp a better place or playing Santa for a school and our friends. It is one of the things I admire most about him. He is such a caring person and he always makes me laugh. He is going to make a terrific Dad. If I can’t find him in the house, he is typically outside entertaining the neighbor kids and their dogs. I can’t wait to see him playing in the backyard with our child.

Michael about Paula The first thing I noticed about Paula was her charming and caring personality. On the night of our first date she called me to make sure I got home safely and to tell me what a great time she had. She is so easy to talk to and a great listener. I love the times we spend together whether it is watching television or going away for the weekend. I can see what a wonderful and attentive mother Paula will be from the way Paula interacts with children. We spend a lot of time with our friends’ kids and Paula does a great job being an “auntie.” She is going to make a great Mom.
