Adoption in Progress.
Dear Birthmother
We are excited that you decided to get to know us a little better. We are grateful that you have made this kind, selfless decision for your child and honored that you would consider us. We know that the journey can be difficult and emotional, but know that we have prayed for someone just like you to share this journey with.
Our Journey
We actually met through our mothers. We had known each other’s family for years, but never really knew one another or that the other actually existed. We officially met on a blind date and have been together ever since. We quickly realized our chemistry, compatibility, and love for each other and were engaged 7 months after we met. We got married 9 months later in Charleston, SC and have been married for 6 years now. In those six years we have only spent 2 days apart from one another and the best thing about our marriage is that through it all we are each other’s best friend.
We decided about 2 years into our marriage that we wanted to start a family. Two years after trying and countless rounds of fertility treatments for us both, we were unsuccessful. We then attempted our first in vitro fertilization (IVF). After two long weeks we got the greatest news a couple could receive…we were pregnant! Unfortunately, our exuberance was short lived less than a month later we found out we had miscarried. This was the most difficult situation we have ever been through in our life and marriage. We tried IVF again six months later and were again unsuccessful. We got the devastating news that we would not be able to have our own biological child.
Why Adoption
Through our ups and downs there have been three constants: our faith, our love for each other, and our desire to have a child. We believe that we have been through all of our trials so that we can help someone else through a difficult situation. We are confident that God will bless us with a child and through adoption it allows us to help someone else. We pray daily for a situation to arise where we can be a blessing.
We can offer a loving, caring, stable environment for a child to be raised in. Our journey has brought us and our family closer together. It has long been our desire for a family and adopting is the best opportunity to fulfill that desire.
We believe that a child should be raised in a loving, disciplined home and taught life’s lesson to be successful and we feel that we have the home that can offer that.
