Adoption in Progress.

Dear Birth Mother,

We are Bryan and Samantha. We want you to know that we are praying for you that God would give you peace and wisdom during this time and that ultimately He would lead you to the decision that is best for you and for your precious child.

Thank you for the opportunity to tell you a little more about us! The most important thing in each our lives is our relationship with Jesus. We only hope that His love and grace are evident in the way we live our lives. We have been married now for 3 years and love spending time together going for long walks, hiking, riding bikes, and occasionally enjoying a nice dinner out. We try to set aside at least one night each week for “date night” even if it’s as simple as watching a movie together or playing a board game. We also both enjoy running, although Bryan runs marathons and Samantha prefers 5Ks.

Bryan earned his Bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship and also has his Associate’s degree in Fire Science. He is trained as a Firefighter through the Air National Guard and also works as a Paramedic. Samantha earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and currently works as a nurse in a Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Although she loves working with the babies and their families, she plans to stay home full-time once we have our own baby. We know how fast babies grow up, and we don’t want to miss a second! We also feel that parenting is a huge responsibility, one that we don’t want to pass off to a nanny or daycare worker. We know that not all parents have this option, so we are grateful to have this opportunity.
About Bryan (by Samantha):

I am so blessed to be married to Bryan! Bryan is a man of integrity and honesty. If he’s given you his word, you can count on it. He is one of the most generous people I’ve ever known and would literally give you the shirt off his back if he knew you needed it. Bryan is also a hard worker and tries to be excellent in everything he commits himself too.

I know he will be a wonderful father because he knows what a crucial role a father plays in a child’s life. He already talks about taking a son camping and fishing and teaching him what it means to be a man. And if we have a little girl, he wants to take her on “daddy dates,” so she knows just how precious and treasured she is! I am excited to hopefully see Bryan in this role as “Daddy” someday.

About Samantha (by Bryan):

Samantha is an amazing woman and my best friend. She is compassionate and kind, a peacemaker, a nurturer, intelligent, hard-working, frugal and giving. I like to tell people that she was made to be a mom. From her deep love for babies and children to her professional training as a nurse or 12+ years of experience as a babysitter, Samantha has a way with kids and desires to be a full-time mother.

I am confident that God has already established her as an amazing woman for any young girl to follow, but I am excited to see how God uses her humility and desire to learn to make her into the best mother a child could have. She may not be perfect in every way but she is in every way perfect for me and the children that God will give us. I am very much looking forward to seeing a new side of her as we enter into the season of raising children.
How We Met

When Samantha was finishing her last semester of nursing school, she began attending a prayer group that met at Bryan’s house on Tuesday evenings. They hit it off right away and got to know each other a little better each week. They soon discovered that they both were passionate about international missions, adoption, and living frugally in order to be generous to others. About 6 weeks after they first met, Bryan took Samantha on a long walk and expressed his interest in her as more than just a friend and his desire to intentionally get to know one another in order to determine whether or not they should pursue courtship. After lots and lots of prayer and about 2 weeks of getting to know one another better, Bryan asked Samantha to enter into a season of courtship.

Our Relationship

The Lord made it very clear to both of us that we were meant for one another! Bryan asked Samantha to marry him after only a few months of courtship, and she knew without a doubt what her answer was! We got married exactly one year after our long walk together. And now we’ve been married for over 3 years! We love each other very much and are committed until “death do us part.”
Growing Our Family

Before we even met one another, we both desired to adopt some day. Growing up, we both knew families who adopted children and knew that was something we also hoped to do. After we had several miscarriages, we knew that God was leading us to pursue adoption. And we couldn’t be more excited!

We are committed to adopting a child of any ethnicity, and we are excited about the possibility of having a racially diverse family! We want you to know that our child will be surrounded by a diverse group of family and friends. We hope to expose our child to a wide variety of different cultures in addition to providing opportunities to explore his or her own cultural heritage.

Thank you again for getting to know us a little better! If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. Send us a message

Sincerely,

Bryan & Samantha
