John & Brittany are hopeful adoptive parents from Michigan waiting to adopt a baby.
If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Dear Birthmother
We want to start by thanking you for taking the time to read about our lives. Although we cannot begin to understand what you’re going through, we do know that you should be proud. It takes a very special person to make such a loving and selfless decision. We respect you for being so brave, and hope that reading this will be the first step in bringing you peace and comfort.
How it all Began
John and I met in March 2005. I was a bank teller, and he was one of my regular customers. One day he asked me if I would like to have lunch with him and I said no (he still gives me a hard time about that to this day). I thought dating a customer might be a bad idea, but 2 weeks later, I asked him if that lunch invitation was still open.
Two years later, we went on a trip to Vegas. On the first night, I was standing at the sink rinsing my contact lenses, and John stormed in , got on one knee and said “Baby, will you marry me!” and I said “Oh my gosh, you’re not kidding right, because I’ll kill you if you are!” He told me he had been looking for just the perfect place to propose all day, but kept losing his nerve. So there we were, him kneeling on the Planet Hollywood washroom floor, and me with only one contact lens in...and I wouldn’t trade it for all the moonlit, romantic spots in the world.
Less than a year later we were married! Our wedding was a small and beautiful event right on one of Michigan’s many lakesides. That day, in front of our family and God, we agreed to love and care for one another for the rest of our lives. A week later we were home from an amazing honeymoon in Italy, and ready to start our new adventure of married life together.
Soon after we got married, we decided to start a family, but after years of trying, it just has not happened for us. We discussed infertility treatments with doctors, but after many heartfelt talks together, we both agreed that God’s plan for us was adoption, and we couldn’t be more excited. Our dream is to be parents, and that doesn’t mean we have to give birth. We have been tremendously blessed, but we hope God will bless us once more with the chance to raise and love a child.
About John and Brittany
About Brittany
Hello, I’m Brittany and I grew up in Southeast Michigan. I have a large family and am very close to my parents and siblings. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science and work as a Project Coordinator for a non-profit association that provides education and training to the automotive industry. I’m a major bookworm, and love to do projects around the house; I just recently finished painting the nursery! I’m also working on writing my first book and hope to finish it soon. However, my favorite thing to do is spend time with John, whether it’s going shopping or hanging out at the house watching TV. Our marriage is successful because he’s not just my husband, he is my best friend.
Brittany as a Mom (by John)
I am very lucky to have Brittany as my wife, and I know a child will be lucky to have her as a mom too. Brittany is a nurturer at heart, and loves to take care of me and the kitties. She is very loving, caring, and an excellent cook, especially all the baked goodies she makes! She is responsible and a good teacher, but she’s also very playful and a lot of fun. Brittany loves to play games of all kinds, has a creative imagination, and our nieces and nephews are very attached to her. I know that she is going to be both an amazing parent and a best friend to our child!
About John
Hi, I’m John and I grew up in Warren, Michigan. My parents have both unfortunately passed on, but they gave me a great childhood. I have several siblings who all live out of state, but we keep in touch and try to make trips to see each other regularly. I have an Associate’s degree in Business Administration and work as a Business Development Representative for a company that supplies product, equipment and marketing materials to salons and beauty schools. I love to play pool, BBQ, watch movies, go on motorcycle rides with my wife, and travel. We’ve been all over the USA and to Europe twice, and someday hope to see Asia and Australia. It will be wonderful to take our son or daughter around the world to see its many splendors!
John as a Dad (by Brittany)
John is an amazing husband, and I have no doubts that he is going to be a great dad. He has a big heart and a playful spirit, which is a big part of why I fell in love with him. John is supportive, protective, kind, and always puts his family first. Plus, he’s a big kid himself. He loves to laugh, be silly, and he won’t eat his vegetables. Our nieces and nephews love to play with their Uncle John. He also has a real gift at connecting with people, which gives him a knack for making friends. I know very few people as dedicated and loyal as he is. These are all qualities that I know will make him truly the World’s Greatest Dad!
Home and Family
Family
To say our family is large is an understatement. Between the two of us, we have two living parents, two stepparents, six grandparents, six brothers, three sisters, several nieces and nephews, and any number of aunts, uncles, and cousins, (and our two kitties Jack and Sally :-). Most of our family, including extended family, lives within a 30 minute drive of our house, so we get to spend a lot of time together. There will be no shortage of birthdays, BBQs, and get-togethers to attend, or cousins to play with. Everyone is super excited about us adopting! Brittany’s best friend has already dubbed herself 'Aunt Sam' and her mom has already started shopping!
Home
In 2010, we bought a 3 bedroom ranch in Brittany’s home town because it is a family friendly suburb with lots of parks, community activities, and one of the best public school systems in the state. We not only have a large backyard with lots of room for play, but there are also two playgrounds in our neighborhood, and many children to play with. The nursery is painted green and brown so it will be perfect for either a boy or girl with just a few added accessories. All this great house is missing is a child to truly make it a home!
Thank You!
We have a house filled with love, and we can’t wait to share it. We love to talk about reading bedtime stories, playing games in the backyard, going swimming at the local rec center, making cartoon character birthday cakes, and all the other wonderful things we want to do with our child. Our most important goal as parents is to provide a stable, loving, and supportive home life. We want to give our child every opportunity to pursue their dreams, whether it’s becoming a doctor or a famous rock star. We want to help him or her grow up to be kind, strong, and above all, happy.
