David & Kate are hopeful adoptive parents from Michigan waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Greetings from Kate and Dave No words can begin to describe the love between a mother and her child. Your desire to make an adoption plan proves the tremendous amount of love you have for your child and for your child’s future. While we cannot imagine the roller-coaster of emotions you are experiencing, we pray that God blesses you with strength and peace of mind as you come to your final decision. We would like to thank you for considering adoption, and we feel blessed to have the opportunity to adopt. Hopefully the information on this page will give you a glimpse into our lives, who we are, how we came to the adoption decision, and where we hope to be as a family in the future.

We have spent our years together building our hopes and dreams and future. We never imagined the road we would be led down – but we know that God’s plans are revealed in His time, and His plan has been for us to provide a loving home for a child through adoption. We can’t wait for this next adventure to begin!
Our Journey We met in 2008 and were married only 11 months later! Dave’s mom set the two of us up on a blind date shortly after Dave returned home from serving in the military. Little did she know she was choosing her future daughter-in-law…or maybe she did? We both hit it off right away with each other and each other’s families. In December of 2008 we started our lives together and began building our future. First, we bought our home and just a few weeks later added a puppy, Dude. Then, once Kate was done with her graduate degree in Reading/Literacy, we decided to add children to our wonderful life!

One of our dreams was to have 6 children – and people thought we were crazy (and probably still do!) Our plans seemed to be working just as we had always hoped. Our son James was born March 24, 2010 with multiple medical issues stemming from a genetic condition. When he passed away at three and a half months, we knew that it wasn't the end of our lives as parents. However, we realized that building a family biologically would not be the wisest choice. James taught us what it is to love another unconditionally and we desire to share that love with our future children.
Meet the Family About Dave by Kate:
What can I say – I love the guy! Not only does he make me laugh daily, he shows his love for me over and over again. Since serving in the Army, he has been working for a trucking company as the service manager. He is a hard-working, dedicated husband and family man. His huge heart is revealed whenever he is around family – he makes sure to take care of us all. When he is not working, he enjoys spending his time doing just about anything outdoors – fishing, four-wheeling, hiking, hunting, camping, etc. His steadfastness, humor, and devotion make him a pretty fantastic person – I can’t wait to watch him being a daddy again

About Kate by Dave:
First off, I went from never knowing Katie to falling in love with her in less than a few months. I fell in love with a woman who was in some ways completely opposite of me, yet very similar. Kate is a teacher at heart, and by profession. She loves children and it shows when she is around our many nephews and two nieces – and in the way she talks of her students. She is also very much about taking care of family and friends, ready to be a listening ear. She enjoys gardening, sewing, and anything involving music and she even likes sports! In short, she is just awesome. She is a wonderful wife. And I know in my heart she is also a wonderful mother – and I can’t wait to see it again.

About Duderbugs by Us:
Dude is our four year old black lab. He is a bundle of energy and loves to be around people. He is great with our nieces and nephews, who love to play with him. His hobbies include - barking at the barn cats, chasing a frisbee, chewing on a bone, and following us wherever we go.
Our Home and Our Promise Down on the Farm:
We recently purchased our dream home and we look forward to raising our children here in country-side. Our home is our escape from the craziness of life. We enjoy sitting on our front porch and throwing the frisbee with our dog. We get to enjoy fresh eggs each day from our chickens, and are loving the lifestyle a farm provides. We are in the country - but still not too far from necessities. Living in the country is wonderful, but so is being close to our family. Three of Kate's four brothers and Dave's brother, as well as both of our parents, live within just an hour of our home. We love getting together with the family, and spending time with our seven nephews and two nieces. Everyone is looking forward to adding more children to our extended family - they've got lots of love coming to them already.

Our Promise:
Please know, that if we are chosen to parent your child, we promise to raise him or her in a loving Christian home. You will have given us, selflessly, the biggest blessing of our lives. We promise your child will be aware of his or her adoption story and the loving choice you have made. As long as it is something you desire as well, we would love to have communication with you throughout your child’s life. We pray for your strength and peace of mind as you come to decide what is best for your child. Thank you for your consideration, and we look forward to hearing from you soon!

Thank you!
Kate and Dave
