David & Renu
are hopeful adoptive parents from Maryland waiting to adopt a baby.
If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.
Dear Birth Parent
We cannot put in words how difficult this process must be for you. We hope that you feel some comfort in knowing that there are many loving options for your child. We are excited about opening our hearts and home to a child or children and hope we can talk to you about what that may look like.
Individually and together, we adore children. They help keep us real, to enjoy the little things and to remember to have fun. Since we’ve been together, we have always wanted to adopt and we are looking forward to increasing our family through adoption. If possible, we have day dreamed about adopting two or three children including siblings so they won’t have to be separated.
We truly believe our role as parents to help and inspire children to learn values of respect, kindness and curiosity while encouraging them to learn about their own talents and gifts. We wish to assist our children in figuring out what truly makes them happy in life, to enjoy the everyday things, and be open to all the adventures of life….difficult or easy.
A Little About Us
We started dating in November 2009, were engaged a year later and married not too long after that. Pretty early on, we knew we wanted to share our lives together because of the many goals, values and interests we shared. For example, we both love to travel and explore other cultures.
Coming into our second marriage, we have grown so much as individuals and as a couple. Being attracted and loving each other was as important as our shared goals and values. Most importantly, we wanted to make sure we would have fun getting through life together.
We are extroverts with a real sense of social responsibility to our friends, families and others. We find meaning in the little things in life like laughing with good friends, a day at the beach, the sound of live music and our cute, playful dog, Sebastian.
A Note from Renu, David & the Girls
Hi! I’m East Indian, was raised in Western NY, and lived in Philadelphia for many years before moving to the DC area. I have a real strong belief that everyone should be treated with respect and equally. So after college and living overseas, I decided to work in the non-profit sector. I have spent the majority of my career in the non-profit sector working on youth issues.
My friends describe me as wanting to “save the world”, practical, caring, loyal and having a real commitment to social justice for all. My other passions are traveling and learning about other cultures. I have been fortunate enough to have traveled within and outside the US and continue to do so with David.
On my spare time, I love to listen to music, attend outdoor festivals, eat good, spicy food and get together with our dear friends and family. A great day for me would be at an outdoor festival with friends during the day, grabbing a great meal somewhere and ending up at a pool hall with a great juke box.
I was born and raised in the Washington, DC area and have only left the area for college in North Carolina. I have worked in the HR field for the past ten+ years for multinational corporations. I am the only child, but part of a large extended family of uncles, aunts and countless cousins, all with children of their own.
I also have two teenage daughters from a previous marriage that I am extremely proud of. One is in college and the other is a senior in high school.
I enjoy music, shopping, traveling, and spending quality time with friends and family. I'm a huge sports fan and enjoy watching games on TV and in person. My favorite is American football, but I'll watch basketball and baseball when it gets interesting! I’m described by my friends as fun loving, kind, relaxed and enthusiastic. I'm a fan of the outdoors and a relaxing summer day at the beach is about as good as it gets. I also play music (bass guitar) part- time, and still “gig” when the opportunity arises.

My sister and I are looking forward to being big sisters! I have always wanted a younger sibling, being that I am the youngest between my sister and I. Helping to raise a sibling in any form would truly be an amazing experience, if given the opportunity!
We look forward to hearing from you and learning about each other. We picked this way to adopt because we like the idea of you, the birth parent, choosing us and our ability to get to know you. This way, we can share with your child his or her story.
Thank you for considering us.
