Thing to CookI love to cook anything that fits in a charcoal grill, gas grill, or smoker, although I am partial to beef tenderloin. I love indoor cooking, too, especially Italian--and always from scratch!
Time of DayA cool spring morning brings the birdsong alive. I enjoy wandering our property with binoculars and scouring the spots where the sun is first hitting the trees and grasses. That's were the birds are!
Type of MusicI started playing drums when I was 8; that's when I discovered rock music. Neil Peart from Rush was my inspiration in those formative years. I've since evolved into quite the Dave Matthews fan (go Carter!)

Animal or PetMy favorite wild animals are birds, frogs, and salamanders. Salamanders are SO cute!
My favorite pet is definitely a dog, especially our little dog named Sage. She is so sweet and just wants to please us.
Beverage/DrinkHerbal tea, because no matter how rough a day you've had, a hot cup of tea can make it all better.
BookI loved "My Side of the Mountain" as a kid, and after reading it, I wanted a pet falcon just like the boy in the book had.
Childhood MemoryI have a lot of great childhood memories. I especially enjoyed playing with the neighborhood kids and building "forts" and "clubhouses".
Day of WeekSaturday, because I have time to make a hot breakfast for Tom and me and we aren't rushing off to work.
DessertChocolate cheesecake. Good thing I don't know how to make them!
Disney MovieThe Jungle Book.
Dream VacationAustralia. Tom and I met there and we keep telling ourselves that someday, we will go back for a month to visit friends and see The Kimberlies. Someday...
Time of DayIn the spring, the first moments after the sun comes over the horizon and all the birds start singing in unison. It's the "sunrise chorus".
