Bedtime StoryAs an elementary school teacher, I'm a big fan of children's books. My favorite is "The Great Fuzz Frenzy." It teaches children the importance of sharing and makes them laugh along the way.
Childhood ToyStar Wars action figures - my brother and I had the Millenium Falcon and Ewock Village!
Form of ExerciseI bike to work two or three times a week and it's a great way to stay in shape, save money on gas, and get in a great workout. My students and I keep track of my monthly mileage totals as a math game too.
Memory with SpouseMy favorite memory with Ali was our first tour bicycling trip together. We biked from Portland, Maine to Acadia National Park - about 150 miles over 4 days. We camped along the way, ate delicious blueberry pancakes and fell in love.
Memory with a ChildMy cousins' three daughters (ages 3, 5 and 7) are just wonderful. Last summer we were visiting them and the youngest, Kali, kept jumping into their backyard pool to play with us - she's just fearless! She's very cute but twice as brave.

Disney MovieThe Little Mermaid ... I used to watch it with my younger cousin, Cindy, when she was a little girl. I remember when I used to carry Cindy on my hip (I was 14) and now she's graduated from college and working at her first job!
Dream JobI am pretty lucky because I already have my dream job! I am a Public Affairs Diplomat which means I work in U.S. embassies overseas to promote U.S. culture and music and also support the arts all over the world.
Dream VacationIn 2003 I hiked in the Himalayas for ten days all the way to the base camp of Annapurna I - the 10th highest mountain in the world. The scenery was beautiful and the people were so kind. I hope to go back someday with Aaron and our adult children.
Holiday TraditionEvery year my Aunt Suzie hosts a Christmas Eve party. Our entire family goes along with many family friends. We eat, play White Elephant (a present game), sing Christmas carols and have a wonderful time together. This year was the 20th anniversary!
Ice creamBen & Jerry's Phish Food: chocolate ice cream, marshmallow, caramel, chocolate syrup, and dark chocolate fishes. The best, hands down!
Thing to CookI love cooking big stews on cold, winter days. I make a great Mykonos stew with eggplant and my mother taught me a great recipe for pot roast. There's nothing like coming home to stew on a cold day - the whole house just smells delicious!
