I just had a great week visiting my parents in Arizona while Dutch stayed home with Bo and Rocco. While my dad was busy golfing, my mom and I went to an art fair, a museum and to a botanical garden that had a special glass exhibit. My mom and I have many of the same interests and always have a great time together.

We had a great holiday season. It's always so fun to get together with our families. We had five different holiday celebrations this year, including the annual get together with Colleen's cousin's and their families. We always spend Christmas eve with Dutch's family and Christmas day with Colleen's family. Dutch's mom always gives the grand kids hats and mittens. Every year we have pictures of grand kids wearing their new hats!

We also had a family reunion with Dutch's family. It was great seeing many of Dutch's relatives who live out of state and we had not seen in several years.

Our families are always asking us about adoption and they are so excited to have a new baby in the family. Hopefully we will have a new addition to our family for the next holiday season.

Our house was getting a little quite so we decided to get another dog. This picture is of our new puppy Rocco. It's been very busy having a puppy in the house, but we're loving it. Our older dog Bo is having a great time playing with Rocco. They love to chase around the house and play tug-of war with the toys. The 3 year old neighbor boy loves Rocco too. He comes over for "play dates" in the yard. He has fun throwing balls and sticks and just running around the yard with Bo and Rocco.

What a great summer! I can't believe it's already August. We have been spending much of our free time boating and fishing.

Our friends have a cabin on Lake Mille Lacs and we've spent several weekends there.

Christopher and Samantha (our friends kids) always want us to bring our dog Bo to the cabin so they can play with him. They love to throw the Frisbee for him and even take him out on the paddle boat! It is quite a sight to see this big dog getting a ride on the back of the boat.

Samantha loves to fish, so as a birthday present Dutch took Samantha and her friend out fishing. He is so patient with them and showed them how to cast. The girls had a great time and even caught a few fish.

Samantha and Christopher always want to hang out with Dutch because he's a ton of fun. They like to play croquet, go on the paddle boat and play around in the water with him. Watching him with kids makes me certain he will be a great dad.

We are excited about putting our profile online. We know this may help us connect with a birthmother and can't wait to share our love with a child!
