Wow!! Hard to believe that summer is here and June is almost gone. Been busy but so far a good one. Been swimming and had a few BBQ's. Had a great fathers day. Met my parents for lunch on Sat then went to mark's parents on Sunday. Mark is very busy with work but we are thankful for that. Some people we talk to are not as busy. Kylie has been doing summer school this month. I miss her terribly but it has given her a chance to meet some of the kids in her class and she has made some good friends. She is also playing t-ball. Had our first game on Monday. It was so cute to watch. Some kids would hit then run to third base, some would hit then run to the dugout, and some would hit and just stand there. Man it was fun. Think g-ma and g-pa are going to the next one. Doing some work around the yard and on the house. Getting ready for our annual 4th of July party. That is always fun. Lots of friends and family. Can't wait. Hopefully we will get some good news about a possible new addition to the family soon. would be great this summer.

We just got back from Disney world. It was a great vacation. One that gave us lots of super memories. Kylie had a great time! She loved seeing all the characters but loved the Princesses the most. It was fun to get away from reality for a short while. After Disney, we went to Sea World, then headed up the east coast. Most of our vacations are west to the mountains so there was a lot we hoped to see on this trip. We found a real cute town in S. Carolina. It had lots of "old" history to it and the people were just so nice. There was an island that had a beach 4 miles long so we stopped there for a couple of days and just hung out on the beach. So relaxing!!! Kylie loved the ocean. I didn't think we would ever get her out of it. We stopped and saw some friends in N. Carolina then headed home. The animals sure seem to be glad we are home. Jack looks like he grew 5 inches. Kylie has kindergarten enrollment Mon. She is very excited. I know she will do great but i sure am gonna miss not seeing her all day everyday. Things are starting to green up here. Planted some corn and tomatoes, mowed the yard and just piddled around the yard this weekend. Won't be long until that will be an every weekend thing. I do love spring.

Happy St. Patty's day!!! Haven't written in awhile. It has been a very long couple of months. We lost Mark's older brother in an accident the first part of Feb. We have all been grieving and trying to get by day by day. Mark is doing better. Each day seems to help a small bit. Being around family and friends seems to help the most. My heart breaks for our loss. I know that God will help us heal, it will just take some time. We are getting ready for Easter. We go to my mom and dads each year. Sat morning is the egg hunt at the fairgrounds then we head out to the farm to roast hot dogs and fly kites or play baseball. Sun morning we go to early church then come home and have a great ham lunch with family. This year i have Friday off, so we plan to spend the day with Marks family. This will be a hard holiday for all.
The picture is of Kylie and our new pup Jack. He is a black lab and is about 3 1/2 months old. He is very smart and very well behaved for a pup. He loves to play tag with ky and chase the cat around the house. Sometimes they can be very entertaining!!! Kacie seems to like him too. Was worried about how he would do with his bad elbow but they play pretty good. When Kacie is done playing, he lets Jack know. Gotta go for now. must get Kylie ready for bath and then bed. Gotta work tomorrow.

Christmas day is over for another year. All the hustle and bustle of the last few weeks are done. We had a great time. Had Christmas at Marks parents on Sunday. We had a great visit. Kylie stayed the night with g-ma and g-pa that night. Mark and I went out for dinner and finished up some last minute shopping. Christmas eve it is tradition in our house to have a "snack" supper, watch Christmas movies and open one gift. Then at bedtime we read "Twas the Night before Christmas". Kylie is getting very good at reciting this story! Christmas morning Mark and I got up before Kylie and enjoyed some quiet "us" time before she woke up. She was very pleased with her presents. She got a baby doll that talks, plays peekaboo, and other actions. She also got some pet shop setups. After breakfast we went out sledding. We had just enough to make the sleds go. That was a lot of fun. We go to my parents house this weekend. Mom is planning a big lunch. Can't wait. Hopefully G-ma V will be able to make it too. Hope everyone had as much fun during the holiday as we did. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Mark, Steph, and Kylie

Thanksgiving has come and gone. Sure seems like this year has flown by. It was our turn to cook the turkey this year. Both sides of our families joined us for lots and lots of food and great conversation. Of-course the kids all centered their conversations around christmas. We adults reflected on their year that had flown by. Put our tree and decorations up later that day. Kylie is very excited this year. She wants Bratz and pet shop toys this year. Is hard for her to be patient and not peek at the presents under the tree!! It will be here soon enough we tell her.
Iread somewhere that "giving birth is an act of nature but Adoption is an act of God." We hope that during this magical season we get our miracle.

Wow!! Hard to believe that Halloween is on Wed. This year is just flying by. Got most of my fall cleaning done. The weather hasn't been to bad yet. Days are in the 50-60 and nights in the 40's. Kylie is so excited for Halloween. This year she is going to be a Bratz Bat. She loves her costume!! Hopefully we will get some news soon. The waiting is soo hard. Can't wait to have a new on in the house to love

Fall is finally around the corner. we have started decorating the house some. I love the fall colors!!! Getting ready for Kylie's birthday this month. The big 5!!!. We are going bowling this weekend with some friends and their kids. Next weekend we will have family in for lasagna and cake and ice cream. That is alway fun! Time to start thinking about fall cleaning too. Do love fall!!!

Been a warm summer already. We have spent some time at the lake as well as just lounging at home. 4th of July party was a blast again this year. Had a great turnout. Hopefully next year we will have another little one around to enjoy it with.

Boy has this been a busy month. Had several birthdays and anniversaries this month. Gave us a chance to see all the families on both sides. Getting ready to settle into the summer fun, hopefully with a new addition soon. We are very excited about that.
Still catching up after Easter weekend. Went to my parents house and visited with family there. The kids enjoyed the town easter egg hunt as well as the family one. We had a great ham lunch with G-ma V and then all headed to the pasture to fly the kites the Easter bunny left. It was a bit cold but i don't think the kids noticed!! This week has been cold too. Can't wait till it warms up.

Today is Valentines day. Kylie has a party at preschool, then tonight we are staying in and having a DATE night at home. Ky is very excited. She is going to wear her "fancy" dress to dinner. Should be a lot of fun!!!
Weather is cold and snowy again. Sure has been a white winter. Hoping for an early warm up so we can get back outside.

The holidays were great. Lot of time with family and great food. Looking forward to another fun year.

Can't wait to bring a baby into our home to love and cherish.
