We are getting ready to celebrate the 4th of July in Pennsylvania where Susan's grandmother, aunts, uncles and cousins live. We enjoy the day by attending the local parade, having a barbecue and then watching the fireworks. We look forward to the day when we will be able to share this with our child.

We have just returned from our weekend in Lake Placid. It was our first time there and we just loved it. There was snow everywhere and everything looked so beautiful. We took a horse-drawn sleigh ride, went snowmobiling for the first time, Alex took an Olympic bobsled ride and we went ice skating. We look forward to going back and maybe trying snowshoeing.

This is our favorite time of year. We start our Christmas decorating right after Thanksgiving. Our tree is up and decorated and so is the outside of our house. Most of the shopping is done and the presents are wrapped. We will wait a little while to put the gifts under the tree because our cat, Marmie, likes to snoop and look for any gifts that are his. We will be spending the holidays with family and getting together with friends in between. We are keeping our fingers crossed for a white Christmas. The only thing that would make this time of year even more special would be to share it with a child. That is what we are praying for this Christmas, the season of miracles.

We are settling back into our routines after our vacation at the Jersey shore. We enjoyed 5 sunny, relaxing days sitting by the pool and swimming in the ocean. Tomorrow is Alex's birthday and we will celebrate by going to a Japanese steakhouse with both our families.

We just returned from Pennsylvania where we went to visit my (Susan's) grandmother. The entire family got together for a barbecue, aunts, uncles and cousins. It was a pretty large group. It was great to see everyone.

We cannot believe the summer is already here. This is the time of year we really enjoy doing things outside. The flower beds have been planted and are really turning into a burst of beautiful colors. We will be spending time with family on the 4th at a barbecue and watching as many firework shows as we can (a favorite of ours.) We are also planning a trip to the Jersey shore at the end of August which we are looking forward to. In the meantime, we will just enjoy the lazy days of summer!

Today we finished our profile. We are anxiously waiting for our profile to become activated. It's Palm Sunday and we are getting ready to go to church and then head over to Susan's parents' house for dinner.
