After stopping and starting many times, I am thrilled that our profile is finally online. So many prayers are being said in our direction, it feels so good to feel we are on the path towards a family.

Summer is here! We have really been enjoying our time with friends and family, bar-b-quing, swimming, even yard work, making our home beautiful for our new addition. It's been a difficult past few months, Rob and I are so very anxious to become parents. We know there is a perfect child out there for us, and pray that God brings us together soon.

It's 2008 already? I can't believe how the time flies. We are so happy in our new home. We had a hectic December with the move and the holidays, but we spent time with both of our families and had a wonderful Christmas. We can't wait to start our own family traditions with our children.

We are getting ready to move into our new house in just over a month! Rob and I have been working on buying this house for a few months now, and we are so very excited to get there. We have been spending all our weekends getting rid of massive amounts of "stuff". It's amazing how much you accumulate over such a short time. We just can't wait to move!

We had a bit of delay in finishing our profile. We had been matched with a birth mother and went into a whirlwind of activity. When we were matched, the birth mother was due in just a few weeks. When she delivered, she decided to parent the child herself. It was heartbreaking, but we learned a lot and know that the perfect child is our there somewhere. Rob and I took some time to spend with our closest friends and family. It is so incredible the support they have shown us and we are so very grateful. Now we are just loading up a few remaining pictures and we are back on our journey to our new family.

I am putting all the paperwork together and working on the profile itself, and I am filled with a sense of joy. I am so ready to be a mother! Our families have been so supportive, putting out the word that we are starting our family.
