Yesterday we went to the beach as a family. It was so much fun. We had never taken the kids to the beach before and they couldn't wait to find sand dollars and shells. We couldn't keep Alex out of the water, even though it was freezing and once Coleyn realized how much fun it was to dig in the sand she didn't want to stop. The kids told us that when we get our new baby we will have to take them to the beach so they can have just as much fun. Of course we said we will!
At our big family BBQ Coleyn was watching all the other babies being fed. She loves when I tell her stories of when she was a baby. She went up to Grandma, who at the time was feeding a bottle to one of the babies and said," I'm going to help milk our baby when we bring it home, just like mommy use to milk me." Everyone laughed! Oh to have the mind of a 4 1/2 year old.

We were dog piling Mike one afternoon and decided to snap a picture. Today the kids told us that they can't wait till we find someone for our family. Coleyn said that she would help feed them and change their diapers. Alex said he would help them not cry because he is a good babysitter. They are already starting to think of names. Coleyn likes the name Chloe and Alex has picked Evee. Can't wait till that time comes.

Yesterday was Easter so I thought I would add a picture of our Easter morning. Coleyn was the first one to wake up and want to go see her basket. But we have a tradition that no one can go down stairs until everyone is awake and the camera is rolling. My father use to do the same thing to us when we were growing up. It was a really nice day that we got to spend together. After the baskets and egg hunt we went to church. One of the things I love most about Easter Sunday is all the music we get to sing about Jesus. My favorite Easter hymn is "Christ The Lord is Risen Today." Although it was raining all day it was a wonderful spring day.
We are so excited to be here and can't wait until we are blessed with an addition to our family. The kids are adamant that we ask Heavenly Father in every prayer (including meal prayers) for a "new baby sister and new baby boy". They are already picking out names. Mike and I are just happy that they are excited and can feel like a part of the whole process. Now the hard part, waiting.
Coleyn's Birthmother shared this poem in a book she made for Coleyn. We loved it so much we wanted to share it with you.
Walk Not In Fear
Today you do not walk alone
So do not walk in fear;
The Lord, your God, is everywhere,
In fact He’s very near.
Although you walk a path today
You’ve never walked before
Walk on in faith the Lord is near
And shall be evermore.
Although a door should open now
Presenting to your view
A scene unknown to human eyes,
Know this, God walks with you.
Let faith fill every waking breath-
To God each child is dear,
Today you do not walk alone
So do not walk in fear.
