Well Summer is in full swing and we are certainly making the most of it. Since Forest started his new business almost a year ago his schedule is so much more flexible and open. We have all been able to hang out. We had our first camping trip of the summer a couple of weekends ago and we're hooked!!! We love our new boat, and relaxing at the campsite. Some of our friends camped with us with their daughter and she and River had a blast. Lots more going on- River finished swim lessons, learned how to ride his bike without training wheels, went to Silver Dollar City, and now he has music class and art class starting in about a week. WHEW!!! Oh, and we got a new puppy- Rose! Rose has now rounded out our small zoo consisting of 2 hermit crabs, 2 tadpoles, 2 box turtles, 1 cat, and now 2 dogs. Thank goodness we live on some land. I think we're done for a while. Last weekend we went to Forest's grandma's 84th birthday and we met a new 6 month old cousin. She loved River, and was smiling and laughing so River said," Mom, we can just have this baby". He is really ready for a sibling. We're off to play!

I can't believe that Christmas is here! I can't even say how many times River has counted the presents under the tree. He is so excited. We're baking our cookies today for Santa. Santa is bringing him a Lights and Sounds train table with a 100 piece train set. I can't wait to see the look on his face tomorrow morning. Tonight we go to grandma and grandpa's house and he gets to open all of their presents. We are going to be on present overload by tomorrow afternoon. I really thought we might get a white Christmas this year since it snowed a couple of days ago, but it's all melted. Right now we're watching The Grinch for at least the 20th time! So I'm off to watch.

We had our 4th annual Pumpkin Town trip this weekend. I think this was the best year ever. River played on everything; the big slide, rode the train, played in the hay bale pit, and generally ran around like crazy. We took lots of great pictures and the weather was gorgeous. We can't wait until Wednesday to go trick or treating.

Well, our best friends are having their baby on Monday. We are so excited. All the teachers at school bought them 2 weeks of meals from Pass your plate. Katie and I went to pick them up, and then let River and her son play. They have a son the same age as River so we are together a lot. We are really hoping to get our baby soon because it would be so wonderful for their new baby and our new baby to be close in age like River and Trace are. They are just the best of friends. We know she is having a girl and I can't wait to see her on Monday.

Well we got moved in to our new house. We weren't in 30 minutes and River was riding his four wheeler all over every inch of the property. He can't believe how much land we have now. Our first night we sat on our back porch and counted lightning bugs. We are loving it!!!

"Rain, rain go away" was the song for the day. We spent the majority of the day inside :( River and I went to the craft store and bought stuff to paint and of course new paints. We painted pots, frames, and all kinds of misc. wood figures. We ended up having a lot of fun. Forest and I packed while River played with the boxes. We've been talking about what color to paint River's new room. He insists that it should be orange, but we may have to do a little compromising. He says that the baby's room should be blue. He is convinced it will be a boy. We truly have no preference. We can't wait!

We can hardly believe September is already here. We are so very excited right now. We will be moving into our new house in just a couple of weeks. River and daddy are excited about the acreage to play on and I'm excited about the kitchen that is about three times the size of our current kitchen. I love cooking so now I have all kinds of room to spread out! We are anxiously awaiting a baby to put into our new nursery.

I love watching River develop an incredible sense of humor. He's 3 and a half now, and there's no end to what might come out of his mouth. Most days my stomach muscles are sore from laughing so much. We have been preparing him about being a big brother. He's so excited!!! He tells just about everyone we meet that we're going to get a baby. When they ask what we're going to name it he always says," Rocket Bathtub!" When I say, "Nooo, I don't think so." He'll say," Ok, how about Astronaut Rocket Bathtub?" Where do they come up with these things? We get the strangest looks, but assure people we are not planning to name a baby Rocket Bathtub!
