We returned from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico last night. We went there on a family vacation. Kevin had a great time playing in the pool and on the sandy beach. Mostly, I think he liked not having to be bundled up in all of his winter clothes - it's still very cold and snowy in Chicago! We had a wonderful time and can't wait for our next family vacation - hopefully with a fourth member in our family.

Kevin had a BIG party for his 1st Birthday. All of our family and friends were there to help celebrate. It was a great time. He had his first taste of birthday cake - we gave him his own individual cake to enjoy all to himself and he loved it!

Today was Brian's work Christmas Party. We all had lots of fun. Kevin saw Santa for the first time and thought he was great. He liked to play with Santa's beard and smiled at him the whole time. It was such a joy to experience it from a mom's view for the first time ever!

We celebrated our first Thanksgiving with Kevin today. It was so special to have an addition to our family this year. We are so thankful to his birthparents. We look forward to expanding our family with another child.

Our profile is active today! We are so excited to start this journey. The thought of another child in our house brings a huge smile to our faces. We know that Kevin will be a great big brother.
