Summer is flying by!!! We are having so much fun. This picture is of Gregg jumping off the high dive. You can see him in the air! We have been busy with softball and tennis tournaments, swimming lessons, lazy afternoons in the backyard, lots of running (I am training for a 1/2 marathon and Gregg is running a 1.5 mile race) and camping trips. Meaghan and I went to Girls Camp for our church this past week and had a blast. Next week we are going on a short camping trip and then a week long trip to Denver for a family reunion. I have finally decided to start a blog, so if someone wants more info on our daily lives, email us and we can forward you the website. We hope everyone is doing good and you are all enjoying summertime as much as we are. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We will continue on with enjoying life and hope our paths cross soon. Alexa has been asking almost daily for a baby! It is very cute.
I cannot wait for Thursday-the last day of school and the beginning of summer vacation! I LOVE having my children around all the time. We have many fun trips and activities planned.
Our big thing this summer is we have bought a 33 foot camp trailer and have planned several vacations using it. The kids are so excited. They have begged for several years for us to buy one, but I have to be honest....Mark and I are more hotel people than campers. I love the outdoors though and I have realized that camp trailers are nicer than a lot of the hotels we have stayed in. So...here goes a new family adventure. If all else fails, we will have spent quality time together.
We continue to pray for our special birth mother. We know when the time is right, we will find each other.
When I was a little girl I always wished I had more brothers and sisters. (There are three of us, I have an older sister and a younger brother.) I didn't always plan on having a large family, but looking back, I know I was preparing for it.
When Mark and I were dating and planning on marriage we talked about our desire to adopt. We had decided we would have a couple of biological children and then adopt after that. Interestingly, we even talked about international adoption. I know Heavenly Father was preparing us for what was in store for our future.
When we found out biological children were probably not going to happen, we very quickly moved on with our adoption plans. We filled out the paperwork, were approved, waited, and were given the gift of our oldest daughter....all in about 10 months. It was definitely the right path for us.
For quite a while now (about 4 years or so) I have felt there were five children for our family. When Alexa came, I knew almost immediately she was not the last. I do however feel like the next little spirit is the last. We are very anxious to get him here. I pray there is a birth mother out there who is looking for the joys of a large family.

I love tulips! I planted 100 new bulbs last fall and I am thoroughly enjoying them this spring. Gregg and Alexa were outside playing, so I took a picture of them in the front of our house. We love our home. We have lived here for almost seven years and have redone the entire inside of the house to get it just how we want it. We love the mature trees and landscaping in our backyard.
Meaghan and Nicolle have their end of year dance recital tonight. We can't wait to go and watch them dance-they love it. We hope you are doing well. We pray for you each day.
Alexa's birth sister had a baby over this past weekend. I was able to go to the hospital to see Allie and her baby, Ayla. She is so beautiful with a full head of dark hair. I am so grateful for the forever friends I have gained in Alexa's birth family. They are truly family to us and we love them dearly.

Meaghan was in her school play tonight. She was Snow White and she had the opportunity to sing a solo. She was very nervous and afraid her friends would laugh at her. She was wonderful and she told me her friends gave her high fives and only said good things. It was a nice confidence boost for a "tween."

Spring has been slow to come to Idaho this year, but the kids have enjoyed getting outside. Here is Nicolle and Alexa going down a double slide.

We dyed Easter eggs tonight. The kids had so much fun. Hmmm, how many recipes can we find for hard-boiled eggs. I only have 4 dozen in my fridge now! Our favorite is egg salad sandwiches with pickles.

Alexa had her first haircut today. She wasn't too sure about it-but it was time to cut her bangs. Her hair grows forward and it was always in her eyes. She looks adorable with her new hairdo! She was happy in the end with her lollipop.

We went to Reno, NV over President\'s Day weekend. My (Melissa\'s) brother lives there and my sister and her family were flying in from Maine to spend the week. We drove over so that we could spend a couple days with everyone. The kids loved playing with their cousins! I loved this picture of Mark and Alexa-it is a perfect example of how Mark loves and protects all of us.

The three older kids have had 3 snow days this past week. They have loved it! We have built snowmen, had snowball fights, and drank lots of hot chocolate! Alexa even loves to be outside-she never gets cold and she cries when it is time to come in. We continue to pray for you each day!

We have been working with a birthmother this past month and so did not get our profile finished to publish. This wonderful woman has chosen to marry - we wish her all the best. We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. It was great having the older three kids at home. I am always sad for them to return to school. We hope you enjoyed your holidays. We can't wait to connect with the right birthmother. We pray for your peace and happiness every day.
Yesterday was Thanksgiving. We had a great day. Mark actually agreed to go running with me in the morning - I think he regretted it later when his knee ached, but I enjoyed talking to him on the run. We spent the afternoon at Mark's parents house with Mark's sisters and their families. It was an enjoyable, relaxing day. The kids had a great time! We hope you had a great day too!

Hi there! We are excited to start this process again. We have 4 four different adoption stories in our family and are excited to enter into our 5th and last story. We love all 4 of our birthmothers - we have everything from continual contact, (visits, letters, phone calls) with one birthmother, to nothing beyond a name for another. We feel every story is unique and are willing to discuss whatever you are comfortable with as far as contact goes. We want this experience to be something you are peaceful with and will do all within our power to help you reach that peace. We pray for you and truly look forward to getting to know you and about you and your story.
