Happy New Year! With every new year, new opportunities arise... Steve just got a new job! We were both very happy. The new position is with his old company (where we met!). The hours will be more flexible and he can work from home or the office. He also got a more challenging position with a nice salary increase.

We feel that God is preparing us for the arrival of some more good news to come in the new year!

We had a wonderful weekend with our family. My father has 10 brothers and sisters and each year we have an annual Christmas party. The family is so huge, we have to rent out a banquet hall!

Toward the end of the party we get a visit from Santa Claus himself. Someone actually dresses up in a Santa suit and passes out gifts to each of the children. It was so wonderful seeing each of the kids run up to sit on Santa's lap! Steve and I were in our element watching the excitement on the little faces of the children and just overjoyed at the hope we felt about having our little one do the same thing next year (hopefully!!) We say a prayer each day that our wish will come true.

Today I received an invitation for Steve's cousin's baby shower. We found out she is having a boy. While on the baby registry searching for a gift, I was daydreaming about the day we could go shopping for our baby's room!

I have been thinking of themes for the room....will it be a boy or girl? When will this blessing come? Will we be planning a shower soon? The anticipation of this life changing event is becoming more real every day and we are praying very, very much to have our dream come true.

We are happy to be up and running and we look forward to keeping you updated on our lives.
