Some of my friends met up and we did a girls night out reminiscing of when we all met at Ricks College in 1999. My friend, Alisa described it best - it was was wonderful to get away and just talk and laugh and most importantly, learn from each other. I think the thing we learned from each other that night was that we all have our own trials, ones that the others can't imagine having and yet we all are still very blessed.
I just got back from California. I went to see my Dad since he was having health problems. He had a non-invasive heart procedure and is doing very well. The second day he was home from the hospital he took me to some orchards that he was renting out bees to. One of the bee boxes got separated from the base and later that night I moved it for him. I wore a special netted bee hat and gloves - it was a first for me. My dad said that I officially entered the family bee club! I was just happy that I wasn't stung!! Too bad Myan wasn't with me to see that! - Ana

Myan has been working very hard the last couple of weeks to get our basement finished. Our future basement will include a full bathroom and a large family room which we can't wait to use!!

Myan and I spent our Christmas holiday with one of Myan's sisters, Tosha and her family. They just finished building their house and hosted a family party on Christmas Eve. There were over 15 children, lots of food and great entertainment. At Tosha's house was the annual Nativity play, dinner and talent show. Myan and Tosha played a duet on the piano. They played an arrangement of well known Christmas songs while I photographed and video recorded the night's activities. The best part was when the children were asked what the meaning of Christmas was and hearing their responses and how they all taught us so much that night.
We started our profile today and will be happy when it is all completed and up and running. We officially decided to adopt on July 8, 2007. By November 26 our paperwork had been finally completed through our adoption agency - LDS Family Services. In some cases, it seemed slow, but in others it really has flown by!
