First, I would like to say thank you to all the birthmothers for taking the time to read about us. Eddie and I are happy to announce that we are matched with birthparents! Best of luck to all birthmothers who are still searching for the perfect adoptive family.

It has been a wonderful and crazy 2 weeks. Eddie and I spoke with prospective birthparents and then the following week, we drove out to meet with them. It was the best decision we could have made. The birthparents were very warm and welcoming and we could not have asked for a better trip.

Now we have so much to do in a short period of time. Our birthmother is due in the beginning of August!!

The weather is finally perfect. We worked outside in our garden all weekend. The flowers are planted, pool is up and running and we are looking forward to sitting by the fire and relaxing.

My sister came over Sunday and we grilled on the BBQ. It is nice to just have her stop by for a few hours and hang out.

Eddie and I returning home tomorrow from London. Our mini trip to Switzerland was wonderful. Eddie's mum's side of the family were welcoming, and even with the language barrier we all managed just fine. We stayed on a large farm, ate great fondues and toured many cities in Switzerland.

Eddie and I also celebrated our 4 year anniversary yesterday. We spent it touring the city of Luzerne before catching our flight back to the U.K.

Tomorrow is back to reality! We are excited for the summer season to begin.

Eddie and I are in London now. We arrived yesterday and have been spending time with his family. Tomorrow we are having a BBQ with extended family. Hopefully the weather will hold out.
On Monday, we are off to Switzerland for a few days with his mum to visit her side of the family.

Yesterday, my photos were judged and I took an Honorable Mention ribbon for this entry!! There were approximately 150 entries, so I was really excited. Even though it was only a township event, my entire family came for support because this is what we do. We are always there to support each other - good and bad.

Eddie kept taking pictures of me near my photo and ribbon. It was embarrassing but nice to know that they are all so proud.

Since photography is a hobby for me, I decided to enter an amateur photography contest. I dropped off my photos today and win or lose, I think it will be fun to see them displayed in town. The ribbon ceremony and judging is next weekend.

This weekend, my sister moved and Eddie and I were over there throughout the weekend helping her set up some things. It is so nice that she now lives less than 4 miles away. We are excited at being able to spend more time together.

I feel so much relief since Eddie and I made the decision to adopt. I am always excited about the possibility that our phone could ring any minute letting us know that we have been so blessed and chosen.

As for the waiting, it is hard but we try to fill our time and keep busy. I love this experience and applaud all the birthmothers who have this decision to make. Eddie and I are ready to give all our love plus some!!

We had beautiful weather this weekend and decided to spend our time outdoors. On Saturday we brought our dog, Paddie to the park and we kicked around a soccer ball.

Sunday was more of an outdoor spring cleaning. We cleaned up the garden, trimmed bushes and raked leaves. Eddie and I enjoy our back garden very much and try to make it comfortable and enjoyable for family and friends.

Yesterday my sister and I continued a Polish tradition of making Babka bread for Easter. It takes approximately six hours to make and involves a lot of kneading dough.
We used to make this bread as kids with my mother and we had so much fun tossing the dough around. I cant wait until Eddie and I have a child with whom I can pass along this tradition.
Tomorrow is Easter and we will go to my parents house to celebrate with our extended family.

Tonight, Eddie and I tangoed!! Our ballroom dance class is so much fun. So far, we have learned a fox trot, waltz and tango. Over the remainder of the course we will learn the fun Latin dances, including the rumba.

Our feet are not black and blue from stepping on each other so we must be doing a pretty good job.

We are getting ready for Easter now and looking forward to spending our time outdoors as spring comes closer.

Eddie and I had an enjoyable weekend. One of Eddie's best friends came for a visit from San Francisco and we hung out mostly indoors because of the terrible weather.

I also finished up a 6 week yoga/meditation seminar this weekend. The class was so enlightening. I went into it thinking I would gain meditation tips, but gained so much more. My diet, flexibility and overall sense of being have been improved.

Tonight Eddie and I are taking a ballroom dancing class. We try to have a date night once a week, where we go out and try something new or do something we enjoy. Our class is 6 sessions and we hope to learn a few proper dances.

Today we are going to hang out at my parents house and celebrate Eddie's birthday. We will all have a nice dinner, cake and gift giving. Any time we visit them, we will always bring our dog, Paddington. He loves to play with my parents dog, Jeter. They are both small dogs with huge personalities.
