Today we visited Brookfield Zoo. The weather was a perfect 73 degrees. We enjoyed watching the polar Bears playing in their swimming pools, and also the brown grizzly bears playing in their pool as well as seeing the spotted leopard walk around his area and also walk up to us by the glass window, in our past visits he is normally sleeping. We spent well over 4 hours walking around and seeing all the animals and taking more than 120 photos with our digital camera. Everywhere we looked there were families enjoying seeing the animals with their children. Wishful thinking…

I am so excited to share with you a rag quilt I finished today. It is made out of flannel and soft minky chenille fabrics. The print is Boyd’s Bears and also has pastel colors of pink, yellow, green & blue just perfect for a little girl or boy. I have been making a bunch of things, taggie blankets, bibs, burp cloths etc… Keeping busy while we wait to be chosen. :o)

Today I colored our Easter Eggs. I enjoy coloring the eggs almost as much as I did when I was a little girl. Every year I color our Easter eggs and we cannot wait to share the fun of Easter Egg coloring with a child.

This year we are going to my Aunts house for Easter Sunday. My Mother, Aunts, Uncles, & Cousins will be there. Everyone brings a dish or two… This year we are bringing the ham & strawberry cheesecake. We really enjoy time spent with family. Whether we are getting together for holidays or just to see each other it is always a nice time.
