We had a great weekend. Tom and I went to a friends wedding on Friday night. We danced all night and spent time with our friends. On Saturday we all went to our friends. They live across the street from us their son turned 2 years old and they had a birthday party for him . The kids had a great time, there were about 20 kids, plus parents. The kids played games and had a great time together. The ice cream man even came and not only were the kids on line but all the adults. It was funny to see. Sunday Thomas had a football game. It was a beautiful sunny day. They won the game which made them feel really good. A lot of Thomas' team mates have younger siblings they were waiting for the boys to come off the field to give them hugs and high fives. Later that day Tom's friend called us to go out on his boat to do some fishing. We went and spent the rest of the day with his family. It was beautiful out on the water, we didn't catch any fish but we had a nice time just relaxing and spending time together.

Thomas started school today. I know some parents can't wait for their children to go back to school but not us. We had a great summer and some fun adventures. We spent everyday together. I enjoy every minute of being a mom and doing things with Thomas and Tom is a great hands on Dad. I packed Thomas a lunch with his favorite sandwich and snacks and made him a big breakfast. We waited together along with the dog and cat in the driveway for the bus to come. Thomas was so sweet he said "Mom I'm going to miss you" and I really missed him.

Tom took off from work today to spend time with me and Thomas before school starts. His brother and our sister in-law were going back to Syracuse and we wanted to spend the morning together. Later that day me, Tom and Thomas went to the beach and went out for pizza. It was a beautiful sunny day. We invited Thomas' friend to come along. We were teasing them about the dreaded starting up of school. They are really good kids. They had a good laugh.

It's Labor Day! It's the last day our beach club is open, so we wanted to spend the day there. We packed up our family along with a big cooler and off we went. It was a beautiful day, and we were lucky to spend it with friends and family members. Tom's brother enjoy's the ocean, they spent summer vacations at the Jersey Shore when they were kids. We love spending time with our sister in-law she is so funny. Tom's sister came later in day and all we did was laugh. Thomas was in the ocean with his uncle and dad and playing football on the beach. That night we had a barbeque at our house and just hung out together. It was a Great Day.

Another big family day. We had a fun filled day at one of our friends house. They knew Tom's family was visiting and wanted them to come over for a barbeque. We spent the day together eating, laughing, swimming and relaxing.

It's Saturday morning and Tom is up cooking breakfast for the crew. Eggs, ham and pancakes. We had a relaxing morning visiting with each and catching up. Thomas was so happy to see his aunt and uncle. Tom's brother (Peter) is Thomas' godfather and they are very close. His godfather and his aunt support him in everything he does. They will drive down from Syracuse and attend plays that he is in, go to swimm meets and football games. Later that day the guys decided to go and play golf. My sister in-law (Kathy) and I decided to have a little girl time and go shopping. We all met back at the house, my sister came over and off we were to take Thomas to his opening football game. We all enjoyed the game rooting him on. After the game we all went out for dinner.

This was a great start to Labor Day Weekend. Tom's brother and his wife who we are really close to were comming from Syracuse to spend the weekend and celebrate Labor Day with us. Tom got home from work early and we planned just the two of us to go out to start the party going. Thomas went to Football Practice and our family was on the road. Tom and I had a nice romantic evening together at a beach front restaurant eating Lobster and watching the sun set. We brought Thomas home a lobster dinner and welcomed our family.

We spent the day at our friends beach house. We had a great time. It turned out that some of our friends from our neighborhood stopped down and we all hung out together. Our friends have a dock that you can fish off of and Tom brought the fishing poles so him, Thomas and any of the other kids could fish. The kids all had a great time in the pool and getting a ride on our friends jet ski. Me and Tommy took the jet ski and were like to kids racing around in the bay. We had a barbecue that night and just had so many laughs.

My little friend Gaby came over today she is 7 and what a delight. We went to a friends pool and Thomas was teaching Gaby to swim, we played charades and just laughed. We went out for pizza and had ices and later in the day I took her to see Thomas play a practice game of football. It was a fun day for all of us.

Today I decided to take Thomas and a friend to the boardwalk. We played all the boardwalk games I won a pink pig and Thomas and his friend won all these stuffed animals they had a great time. We ate all the junk food and had ice cream. I love the vanilla and orange soft ice cream. You always need to go to the boardwalk at least once in the summer.

Today was a rainy day so we decided to take a drive and get some ice cream and when we came out of the ice cream parlor there was an unbelievable rainbow. It was beautiful Thomas said there was a pot of gold at the end but unfortunately we didn't find it (Ha Ha). Tom drove to a clearing and you could see this rainbow come up from the water go across the sky and land back in the water. I never saw a full rainbow like that and colors were so bright it was just beautiful. It was a nice ending to a relaxing day. When we got home we watched some of the Olympics Thomas is very interested in the swimming.

Some of the Moms from our Beach Club got together and we planned a trip to a local water park. The kids had a great time there are fun slides to go on and a rope swing and buckets of water fall on you we all had a good time Thomas and I went on this one slide and just laughed all the way down I did a little screaming I am a big chicken.

We have been having a fun filled summer and are thinking up different things to do before school starts up again. Today we decided to go an aquarium. To our surprise we saw a new addition to the aquarium a baby whale it was a couple of months old. There was also a dolphin show and of course plenty of fish to see. It was a fun day.

This was nearing the end of our trip. We were kyaking in Prince William Sound. In the background you can see a glacier. We saw an eagle on the shore line here eating his catch of the day. It was a great trip and feel so lucky that we were able to experience this together. We want so much to be able to give another child experiences like this and for our family to grow.

Next stop Skagway we had another amazing experience we went up in a helicopter and landed at a dog mushing camp which was based on a glacier. There were 280 dogs. We got to experience dog sledding and Thomas got to mush. He said he will never forget this experience. The guide taught us about the dogs and how they live what they eat and also about the iditarod races. The dogs were very friendly. They enjoyed being petted and belly rubs it was the cutest thing. We even got to hold some puppies. This was an experiences of a lifetime.

This is our second port we entered Juneau Alaska, we had an exciting day. We took a float plane to Pac Creek where only 12 people a day get to watch bears in their natural habitat. It was amazing the bears would come out of the woods and fish for salmon, lay around, take a bath in the stream, we couldn't believe our eyes. We got to see a mom and her cub too. We saw 5 bears that day. The ranger said we were very lucky some days they don't come out of the woods.

This is our friend Bob he lives in Juneau and we got to spend time with him. We dragged him on our excursion to see the bears.

The ship stopped in many interesting ports. We got to see whales, sea otters and sea lions in their natural habitat. Learned about how glaciers where formed and how they break off and form ice bergs. It was a unbelievable experience for all of us. The natural beauty of Alaska is wonderful. This is our first excursion in Ketchikan we went salmon fishing and caught 9 fish. We shipped the fish home and one fish we got to eat on the ship.

This was the start of our Summer Vacation, Alaska we went on cruise. We went with another family and this is one of Thomas' friends. What a great experience for kids. The ship was very family oriented and had fun things for the kids to do every day and catered to all ages from toddlers to teens.

This was a fun day , my sister and brother came over and we went to a friends house to go swimming. We had alot of fun we were having races, doing head stands in the pool and seeing who could hold thier breath the longest. Tom and Thomas always do their wrestling thing in the water they dunk each other.That night we met some friends and we all went to see the fireworks.

Gabby is a blessing and we have other friends that have adopted and it is such a joy to watch them grow and be around these great kids. Our friends are so supportive and can't wait till we have our own baby.

Hooray!! Schools out!!! I don't know who is more excited Thomas or me. I love having the summer to be together. It's time to kick back and enjoy. We had a party at the beach club we belong to with some of Thomas' school friends to celebrate the end of year. They looked like the happiest kids around. It's such of fun place to be the kids can swim in the pool, go down to the ocean, build sand castles and just run around the beach and be kids. There is also a playground with a wooden boat, train and truck the kids can climb on and hide in, there's also swings and monkey bars for the kids. We've met some really nice families here.

It's Father's Day we opened presents in bed and I made Tom a big breakfast. Thomas even gave his Dad a little concert on his guitar hero. Tom hopes real soon he will have another little blessing to celebrate with.

It's carnival time! Our church has a fair every year rides, games and lots food. We went with Thomas and some of his friends it was a fun time.

Our friend Fran came to visit with her 6 month old Natalie we had so much fun with her. Thomas got all his stuffed animals that he saves and showed Natalie. He got some good belly laughs from her. It was the cutest thing. When she left he told me "Mom I really wish I had a brother or sister." I know how strongly he feels about this and I told him "we're saying a prayer, there is a little angel out there that is going to find their way to us".
