Jake finally put his model airplane together and took flight for a whole 15 seconds and then it crashed next to a neighbors house breaking the propeller. Bummer!! We'll have to go buy some more so he can fly it again.

Valerie, my friend down the street, had her first baby boy in November. She has four other girls under 9 years old and I told her that I would take all her girls for a girls night to give her a break with her husband and baby. We played lots of games, ate dinner, watched Kung Fu Panda, did girlie hair do's, and playing the Wii. We took the two younger ones home to go to bed and then the two older ones had a sleepover. It was a lot of fun!

My friend Valerie has four girls and they often come down to play or want to help me clean to earn money. The two oldest came down to help me clean the house and after awhile we took a break to play with some old barbies that I had when I grew up.

I had a week off of school "October Break" and so we decided to go camping. Some friends told us of a nice place about 2 hours away from home, so we decided to give it a try. We loved it! One night was super cold in the tent. The wind was blowing like crazy. I thought that everything outside would be gone by the time we got out of the sleeping bags, but it was fine. Nothing blew away thank goodness. We went hiking and found some wild berries and some cool wildlife: cows, deer and a tarantula.

Today was my Dad's birthday. We had a little family party and dinner. This is a picture of him and me.

Jake and I ordered a box of delicious Utah peaches. We canned most of them, ate some, and make peach syrup with a few. Here's Jake slaving away. Just kidding. We had a pretty good system going.

Jake and I went up to Idaho for a family reunion. We visited many of Jake's biological side of the family. We had lots of fun watching a 4th of July parade and having canoe races.

I went out this morning to pick some tomatoes from our garden. There were A LOT!! We still have two more bags in the fridge. I think I'll can them or something.

We went to a friends beach house in Mexico for a few days. Jake and I had so much fun with our friends and their kids. We woke up around 5am every morning and walked out on the beach at low tide and found some of these awesome shells, sand dollars and a dead seahorse. It was sooo relaxing!

Jake and I have always wanted to go skydiving. We decided to do it now before we have any children so that if anything bad should happen, we wouldn't be leaving behind anyone who depended on us. It was a blast!!
