We are excited to celebrate Halloween this week. BAJA is a fireman and is excited to wear his costume to music class, the park, preschool and of course trick-or-treating!!

Today we had a wonderful opportunity to meet with a birthmom, birthfather, and family. We are so impressed with this family. We wish we could have had a chance to get to know them even more. We don't know what the outcome of this meeting will be, but anytime we have an opportunity to meet with a birthfamily we are truly in aw and amazed at the love they have for their child and want what is best. We were so impressed with the questions and thought behind the questions. We know they will make the best decision with whomever they choose as a family.

BAJA started preschool this week. We can't believe how big he is. He loved it! He is learning so many new things and making new friends. My he's a big boy now. He's also been asking for a baby to come to our house. WE keep telling him we're trying to find you!

We attended a baby shower today for friends. We haven't seen them for a while. Brian lived in Sweden for a while and met this friend in Sweden. So fun to get together. On the way home we decided to stop at IKEA (since we were in the Swedish mood) and buy some things for our home. What a great day!

We've had a lot of fun this Labor Day weekend. We spent the weekend in the mountains, First, we went to a ski resort and rode what BAJA calls the "Gondola Tram" and went to the top 11,000 feet. How beautiful to see the mountains and still some snow from the winter. BAJA kept calling it the "grand canyon" we all marveled at the beautiful scenery. We couldn't get enough of the chairlift and the Alpine slide. BAJA wanted to ride fast to "tickle his tummy". We spent some time on Saturday with friends at a cabin. We loved going for a hike. Today, Labor Day was a shopping day for "daddy" Brian does not like to go shopping but he was in the mood so I had to seize the opportunity for him to try on clothes! Success we had a good shopping trip (great salesman who after telling him what fabric and color we needed Bri quickly got what he needed). It was so fast!! Brian was pleasantly surprised. We then went to Macaroni Grill for lunch. Yummy salad and chicken panini for me and Bri and BAJA had the pizza. After a nap a walk around the neighborhood. It is a crisp temperature day and just the weather we LOVE for fall!!! We hope you are enjoying your weekend!!

This was a busy week. I finished my last class ever to finish up my doctorate. Very exciting. We also attended the National Families Supporting Adoption (FSA) Conference. It was fun to see our friends and make new friends. How powerful to be with so many who believe in adoption. It was also the first year that birthparents were added to the membership of FSA. So glad! Obviously birthparents are a big part of adoption :) Brian and I were also honored to give a presentation at the conference. Going to the conference made us think even more of you and how we hope to have you in our lives and hearts soon. WE pray every day for a little brother or sister. We are grateful for the miracle of adoptoin in our lives!

We celebrated BAJA's birthday on Saturday. We had such a fun party. Each year we have a big party invite all our friends and family to not only have a birthday party but a celebration of his life. BAJA's birthmom Ashlee and her parents attended too! We couldn't help but wonder about you and how you'll be an addition to our family. Ashlee thought this site was another great way to find you!

Our profile is now activated! Hooray! We are so excited for this opportunity. We are hoping, praying, and searching for you! We can be an answer to each other's prayers. We are excited to one day find you!!

BAJA and I visited the agency today to get final approval to post our family on parentprofiles. We have been thinking of you and feel we need to do what we can to find you! We just finished resizing photos and adding pictures that hopefully will help you get to know us better. We are a fun family and would love to have you be a part of our family too!

I am thinking a lot about adoption and you as a birthparent. I hope you know how much I love and appreciate you for your consideration of adoption. I will forever be grateful for the gift you've given me!
