What a wonderful start to the school year! My sixth graders are fantastic and I look forward to seeing them each day. The county tennis tournament ended today. Steve's team won again for the 6th year in a row! I helped coach again this year and we had such a great time with the kids! Rhone did very well, too. We're proud of him!
Tomorrow is the last of professional development for teachers...thank goodness! We're just looking forward to having the students on Wednesday! Our rooms are pretty much ready. Steve has been busy with the tennis team and Rhone has helped put up posters in Laura's room after practice. We all anxiously await the e-mail that will change our lives forever! Laura can't wait to take time off to spend with our daughter!
I can't believe that school starts soon. Steve and I go back next Thursday for professional development. Kids start on the 26th. Steve's tennis team began this week and Rhone was excited. I've been finishing up some projects at home. We still plan on a family golf outing, among a few other things, before next week! I always dread the start of school just like a child, but once I'm back in the swing of things it's all fine. I have to remember what a blessing it is to work at the same school with my wonderful husband and our sweet Rhone!
Wow! We have had a busy week! The cousins visited and we were busy with lemonade stands, the water slide, the aquatic center, and more! It was a fun time for everyone!

We're back from vacation and we had a wonderful time! We missed having Johnny and Mariko with us, but we're looking forward to seeing them in the fall. The kids enjoyed being together and so did all of the adults. We all feel very blessed to have such a loving and fun family!

Caleb had a baseball tournament out of town this weekend. He pitched great, played a wonderful first base, and hit four triples, five doubles, five singles, and two home runs! We're so proud of him! Nothing is more enjoyable to us than being with our kids!! We're up late packing to leave for vacation in the morning, so we'll talk again soon. Happy 4th of July!
I've been busy with projects around the house since our last day of school. That's such a wonderful advantage of being a teacher! Rhone is finished with baseball for the summer. Caleb is on a traveling team and has been playing in tournaments on the weekends. Wade has been playing tennis a lot with friends. We all played the other night....boy am I sore! Steve has been building Jessy (our golden retriever) a deluxe two room dog house. I'll put pictures on later. I think about our little one all day long and during the night. I can't wait to meet you!!
Everyone went to see Hannah in the production of "Curtains" at our local theater. She did a great job! Hannah enjoys coming down to stay with Grandma and Grandpa each summer to participate in Camp Broadway for kids. We look forward to vacationing with Scott, Shelley, the kids, and Laura's parents in a couple of weeks.

Visiting with my cousin's little girls, Maddy and Nichole. Greg doesn't have any brothers and sisters, so they have always called us Aunt Laura and Uncle Steve. They're real sweeties!

Hannah came down from Pennsylvania to participate in Camp Broadway, and we decided to go on a picnic with several other family members and enjoy the beautiful day together.

This was the last day of school and Rhone's last day in my class...a few tears. I loved having him as a student!
The day has finally arrived. We are ready to activate our profile! We are so looking forward to getting to know you.
