Mike & Chereeprofile id #22945
Hey! So, this is Mike. I'm not a journal writer at all. I'm more of a talker. So this will be short. Just wanted to put in my two cents to let whomever reads this know how much I want to be a dad! Cheree and I have been waiting SO long! I can't wait to have a little one in our home. To finally start a family. It just feels like something is missing in our home. I can't wait for my wife to be a mom either. She will be a great mom! We are so ready to be parents and for our journey with children to begin! See ya!
WOW! I can't believe it is November!!! On November 1st, it was 71 degrees. Today, we are receiving the first snowfall of the season! The weather is SO crazy here sometimes! It sure keeps us on our toes! One thing that bugs is when the radio station starts playing the Christmas music after Halloween! Don't get me wrong I LOVE Christmas! But I get burned out if they start playing the Christmas music before Thanksgiving. That goes for Christmas TV commercials too!
It's all good! Christmas is my FAVORITE Holiday! But you can't forget about Thanksgiving! We are going to my parents house for Thanksgiving this year. It should be a lot of fun.
Happy Snow Day!

Halloween is not my favorite holiday but I dressed up for work anyway. This year we did something different. Instead of giving out candy at our house, our neighborhood did this thing where we all met at a parking lot and all the kids came to us. It was called "Trunk or Treat". It was awesome! We had our lawn chairs out and our candy bowls out and the kids went all around the parking lot and gathered their treats. I really liked the idea, especially for the younger kids because the parents could see who their children were getting candy from and I could see who the children in the costumes belonged to. It was a great experience. I also learned that next year....we need MORE candy! I couldn't believe all the children!!! It was a lot of fun.
I was right. Today is a much better day. My spirits are up. Mike knows just what to say. His big hugs and kisses help too I must say! He says he like me to be in charge of this journal writing stuff. He is actually really busy right now with work. I am still going to get him to write a few entries...wish me luck. He is a talker, but not so much a writer.
Today is a hard baby day. That is what Mike and I agreed to call the days when I really feel discouraged about not being a mom. He is so good with me. So, all I have to do is call him at work and say "I am having a hard baby day" and he knows exactly how to comfort me. I don't have as many of these days as I used to. I am excited that we have our profile up on this website and we have had the wonderful opportunity to communicate with several wonderful, amazing women, like you. I am so thankful that you are out there and considering adoption. Adoption is the only way that I will ever be able to be a mother. Thanks for looking at our profile. Tomorrow will be a better day, I am sure of it!

We went for a drive up to the mountains to take a look at the fall colors. They were beautiful!

Our sister-in-law took this picture. She is a fantastic photographer.

Poor Daisy had surgery and is SO hating the lamp shade thing! It only worked until she came out of the "fog". Once she figured out where she was she wanted nothing to do with it!

The ocean is so peaceful. We are hoping that next year we will be able to take our vacation and we will have a baby with us. That would be so awesome.

We weren't able to get to our favorite vacation spot this year. We love the ocean and wish so badly that we could get there this year, but we're saving our money up for our baby...whenever he/she gets here.

We love the weekends when we are able to spend time together. This summer has been so busy!

Lily and Daisy love to play catch the ball in the summer.

Mike's dad came out to visit this summer. It was great having him here.

Here are the flowers Mike gave me for our Anniversary. 9 years already. The time goes by so fast. And yet I can hardly remember my life without him! He is always so thoughtful!

Well, this is our first entry into our journal. We are excited to be on this website. We'll keep you updated on our (mostly)exciting lives...
