There are so many things in life that are just so much more wonderful when seen through the eyes of a child. Holidays, I think, are one of those things. Before, I thought Halloween was kind of a lame holiday, but this year, getting to see Allary be so excited over just a bunch of candy was so much fun. When you look at it from her point of view, what can be better than getting to get all dressed up and go out and knock on doors where people are so happy to be giving out free goodies? We really had a lot of fun. She was such a cute little kitty.

The weekend before Halloween, we carved pumpkins together as a family. Allary did pretty good at drawing a little face on her own pumpkin and showing her Dad where she wanted him to cut.

Last weekend, I went with my mom and my sister and my two sisters-in-law for a fun girls' retreat. We stayed at a nice hotel and got to eat out, do lots of shopping, and just talk and relax. We had so much fun and I really enjoyed the break from my every day routine. I have wonderful, amazing, and fun women in my family and love getting to spend time with them!

Last week I took Allary to have her picture taken professionally. For some reason, she did not want to smile for the photographer, but we still got some really cute shots of a very serious little ballerina. She is really loving her dance class and doing very well.

One more from the photo shoot.

Allary's birthday was on the 25th of September. We invited our extended family over for a celebration. I can't believe she is already 3 years old. The time goes by way too fast. She changes so quickly and is growing up so fast. I want to remember exactly how she is at each stage of life and treasure it.
I will add some photos from her fun party. She is really into Peter Pan and Tinkerbell right now, so we had a Tinkerbell themed party.

She loves baby dolls. This was a present from her Grandma.

She got a little bit of frosting on her nose while enjoying her cake.

She really really wanted a Tinkerbell doll for her birthday. She loves it.

This is Allary showing off her new kitty hat and Tinkerbell sunglasses. I love this photo!
I think this Journal will be a good way for you to get a glimpse into our everyday lives. I (Brooke) will probably be the one primarily posting here. I will do my best to keep it updated on a regular basis.
