We went hiking today for about 3 hours. We found a new spot with a nice creek for our pups. There is nothing better than spending time outside with those you love.
We love the fall! Hiking in the mountains with all the changing leaves is so much fun. We can't imagine a better time of year.

We thought it would be nice for you to see what our nursery looks like. It has a very light yellow and green stripped pattern all around the room. We also have decorated with viking stensils. They are very cute and friendly vikings. We're very proud of Alex's Scandinavian heritage and want to surround our children with it. This is a picture of one of the blankets Alex's sister made for the baby. It is the Swedish Flag.

This is a picture of some of toys in the nursery. These were Alex's toys when he was a baby. Alex's grandfather actually carved some of them, like the blue car. Alex has his grandfathers talent for working with wood, metal...anything really.

We thought it would be fun to show you pictures of us as babies. Enjoy!

We are Bruce, Dizzy and Gordon, Alex and Ann's three fun dogs. We LOVE kids! We have so much fun with them and we're gentle too. We love to lick, run, play fetch, kick the soccer ball (in Bruce's case, guard the soccer ball), jump, climb and then sleep. We know we will love the baby that joins our family and we will have so much fun with them!

Alex is so excited about his new job. He is working for a film studio as their animator and special effects lead. He can't wait pass on his love of art to our children.

What a fun day! We did an 8 mile hike in the mountains with our dogs. It was so beautiful. There were multiple waterfalls and our dogs had the best time jumping and rolling in the mud. I can't think of a better way to spend the day.

What a great day! We had church and then celebrated Alex's uncles 50th birthday. Gifts and Finnish food...yum!

OCTOPUS! We love to try new things and this was definitely a new thing. We cooked a whole (adult) octopus tonight for dinner. It has a very good flavor but super chewy. I prefer squid. It was an experience though.

We recently got back from a trip to Zion National Park, Lake Powell and Bryce Canyon. We took our 3 dogs with us. They had so much fun. At the end of each day, they were exhausted. I love to see them like that...happy and tired. We took some really great pictures too. Those canyons are very different during the winter.
What a great day! We took our dogs out to the lake today, which is frozen over. It made me so nervous to see them running on the water, but they had so much fun! We then took them up to the mountains where the snow is a couple feet deep and ran with them. We both fell quite a few times, but laughter is great exercise :-)
Well, it snowed a lot today and the dogs love it. Especially our little white one. She was running all around. I think she's part snow dog. It was great to watch.

It's going to be a fun afternoon. I think we might go shooting up in the mountains and then take some pictures in Salt Lake. We love the snow!

I must say, I love having Alex working from home. It looks like it could be a permanent thing, so we'll both be "stay at home" parents one day :-)

Oh, and I started reading a new book. "The Hour I First Believed" by Wally Lamb....one of my favorite authors. It's amazing so far! Read it!
We started working out with P90X. It is really hard core! I highly recommend it though. It's fun and you feel great afterward.
We had a great day yesterday. We took our 3 dogs down to the lake and let them off leash. I love seeing our dogs run around and actually be able to act like dogs. They were hunting the small rodents (they're terriers...it's what they do). I can't wait for Spring when we start taking them up to the mountains regularly. They're like little mountain goats. They can climb anywhere.

Things are going well in our lives. We're working and enjoying our dogs.

We are so excited to introduce ourselves to you!
