Today Brady and Anne went to the Zoo. It was a really nice day. Cool, but not too cold. We had a blast, but also had a really good conversation about adoption. Brady told me how much he wants a baby to come to our house. I told him we have been praying and hoping that the day will be soon. He held up three fingers and said, "Right now this is how many we have in our family, and we are really lucky to have a great family!" Then he held up four fingers and said, "But this is how many I really want in my family." Anne said, "Me too!" We are so excited for adoption.

Halloween was so fun. Brady dressed up as an astronaut. He loves the solar system and he knows all of the planets. So...and astronaut was the perfect costume for him. He had a party at school Friday and then Saturday we had pizza shaped like a pumpkin and then went trick or treating with his friend (and their dads). He got so much candy he had to make a pit stop half way through to drop off some since it was too heavy to carry.
Today was so fun. It is fall here, but the leaves have not fallen off the trees yet. They have changed colors, but not fallen off. Brady has been dying to jump in a pile of leaves. Today during Anne's walk at the park, she found a bunch of leaves that had fallen off. So, tonight we all went to the park, took our rake and made a HUGE pile. We jumped in the pile, buried each other and had a big leaf fight. It was a blast!
Ahhhh...it is fall time here in Utah and we love it! Yesterday, we took Brady to our local pumpkin patch and picked out some of the biggest pumpkins we could find (usually we do smaller ones). Anne couldn't even lift one of them. Thankfully Kip could. It was such a blast. We brought them home and put them on our porch. We are going to another pumpkin patch tomorrow, but this time for the hay rides. Can't wait. We are just really enjoying the fall weather!!

Just got back from our vacation to Bear Lake. It was fun, but VERY cold! Are we crazy? Nope, just brave. We dressed warm and went outside at least 3 times a day. We didn't get in the water, but Brady had a blast playing on the playground and in the sand with all the new friends he made there. Kip and Anne just relaxed and caught up on some shows.
Had a fun evening tonight. Went out to dinner, then took Brady miniature golfing for the first time. He was so funny. He'd hit the ball then after it stopped rolling, run up and grab it, and put it in the hole. Oh well....He did a good job just trying to get the golf grip right, and actually had some really good hits. And the winner of the evening? Anne...who had two "hole-in-ones!"
Today I (Anne) took Brady to a play ground with some of his friends. They were taking turns jumping off the equipment and each time they would say, "I wish....." and say something they wished for. Most of their wishes were silly and funny, but then Brady said, "I wish I had a new baby at my house." It was very sweet. Brady is so ready to be a big brother, he just cant wait.

We just got back from Jackson Hole, Wyoming. What a fun vacation. It is one of our favorite places to visit. It is seriously so beautiful there! This year we were busy. We hiked, biked, went swimming, went fishing, played in the lakes, visited Yellowstone, visited Grand Teton park, ate good food, and rode the gondola (or "The Gondo" as Brady calls it). We also saw moose, elk and a baby bear (couldn't see the mama near). This year we also went with Anne's parents, so it was really fun to have Grandma and Grandpa there too. We cant wait to go back next year!
It is starting to get really hot here for the summer. So, we have moved our play time inside during the day for the time being. Brady is great at coming up with new ways to play with everyday things. He took our blow up pools turned them upside down and put them over vents. When the A/C turns on they fill up with air. He calls them air tents. We get under them and read books or just cool down. He also loves to jump on them which makes a really cool noise and a big rush of cold air. Yea for air tents!
Another summer Birthday in our family! This time it was Kip's Birthday. We had fun celebrations with our immediate family and then another with extended family.
On Kip's birthday, Anne and Brady spent the day making the special cake we make for Birthdays in our family. It's tradition. Brady had a blast helping make the cake and frosting. He is a pretty good cook already. Kip loved it. Happy Birthday Kip, thanks for being a great father and husband!!
What a fun weekend we just had. It was Brady's 4th Birthday and we really partied. We went to the zoo, played out in the pool, had a "friends" birthday party, took Brady to lunch, and took him to pick our his first bike. He picked one that is blue and green of course since green is his favorite color. Perhaps it was a bit much, but birthday's are important in our family. He is still excited though. Every where we go he tells people, "I AM FOUR!!" It is really cute.

We just got back from visiting Southern Utah. What a fun vacation. We went to Zions park. What an amazing place. We also visited St. George, dinosaur tracks museum and played in the pool. It was so fun to get away and the weather was perfect. It was 95 degrees, but did not feel like it. Felt like 80. Glad we got to go.
