This is a picture of Craig when we went hiking recently. There is a park called Garden of the Gods near our house. We like to go there on the weekends and go hiking. It is beautiful, with a lot of nice scenery. Last time we were there, we saw five deer. They were close to the paths we were on. The weather has been so nice here, that we are still able to go hiking. We plan on going this weekend!
Today at church, we were asked to teach the 8-9 year old group in Sunday School. Grace was also asked to help out with Cub Scouts, something that is new to her. We both very excited about this and looking forward to these opportunities.
We have been looking at nursery themes and colors. Right now, we are switching our spare room and nursery room around and getting ready to paint. There are so many choices that it is difficult to pick just one.

Here is a picture of our newish kitten Colby. We have had him for about three months. He is such a cutie, and very active. He is a Maine Coon cat, so he is going to be a big boy!
Craig just finished building a fence around the left side of our back yard. For some reason, when we moved in, the fence only went 2/3 of the way around our back yard. Craig had never built a fence before, and he did a great job. Like both our Dads say, it is all about experience. Now, we are working on the landscaping. Our yard is interesting, in that it goes straight back and then up hill. Great for sledding and rolling down the hill, but other than that... So, we are working on that. This is the first house that we have owned, and we are loving it.
We are also looking forward to a visit from Grace's Mom soon, and then going over to Utah to visit her sister. Road trip!! We love taking toad trips.

It has been a while since we have added a journal entry. We are sorry about that. It has been a fun, enjoyable, busy summer for us. One of the best things that happened is Grace's brother got married. Our new sister-in-law's name is Whitney and they are so happy together. The picture attached is right before they cut the cake at their reception. It was outside at a local park, which was really nice. It is quite possible that one of our nieces or nephews took this picture. They always want to have the camera and take a million pictures, which is OK by us.
We moved into our new house this past weekend. You never realize how much stuff you have accumulated until you have to move it all. It does provide a nice opportunity to go through everything and decide what to keep, give, sell, or get rid of.
We will post a picture of the house as soon as we can. We are in the process of unpacking and arranging everything. Grace has a lot of "help" from the cats with that. We love our new house and we can't wait to grow our family here. We are in a wonderful family-oriented neighborhood
We are also looking forward to celebrating our sixth Wedding Anniversary on the 24th. We are so thankful to have each other and for everything we have experienced and been through together.
Take care,
Craig & Grace
We are buying a house! We are really excited about this and we are looking forward to moving in. We had our house inspection yesterday and things are looking good.
We have been daydreaming and deciding where to put things and how to set up the rooms. Most exciting is now we can really start working on the nursery, painting the walls and getting the furniture. Now, to find some boxes...

Craig & Grace

We have been having so much fun lately buying baby things. As you can see in the picture, we have been getting a variety of things. We always look at the cute little clothes and toys/stuffed animals, but we have also been trying to get the other practical things as well, such as nail clippers, bottle warmer and a thermometer.
Craig found the really cute camo onsie. It has little animals printed all over it too. Grace is currently working on two baby afghans. We have been staying busy.

Grace's brother is engaged! We are so excited. They are getting married in June, so we are planning a visit home. We are looking at plane tickets and planning our trip. We are so happy for my brother and his fiance and so happy to be able to share in their special day.
We see our families as much as possible, they come to spend time with us, we go to spend time with them. Our families are so important to us.
Love,
Grace & Craig

Tonight I made chocolate chip pancakes for Grace. I used mini chocolate chips instead of the normal sized ones. Thought it would be fun to do. They turned out pretty well.
I give Grace a hard time about making these but I really enjoy making them. I always joke with her that I will have to make them for our children. That is one thing about being a parent that Grace and I are looking forward to.

This month we officially put buying baby things into our budget. Before, we have bought things here and there that we liked, mostly cute clothes, books, and toys. So, we were at the store recently and we picked out a few things. We got a pack of long sleeved onesies with mitten cuffs, pacifiers, an ear thermometer, and a fun camouflage "Major Cutie" onesie (see the picture).
Recently Grace's Mom gave us clothes and blankets that she wore and used when she was little. So, if we adopt a girl, we are set with little dresses, if we adopt a boy, that means we get to do more shopping!!
We are really looking forward to being parents. We both love children so much. Thank-you for considering adoption and looking at our profile. Feel free to ask us about anything you want to know about us.
Take care,
Craig & Grace

We cannot wait to use this blanket (Grace made) with our child, to snuggle him or her up in it while we rock them to sleep or to cover him or her up in their car seat when we go to visit family and friends. We are so excited to become parents! Our child will definitely be kept warm and cozy.
I just finished this baby blanket last night and I really enjoyed making it. I like to know that someday we will use it with our child. It was a little more difficult than other blankets I have made, so that made it more challenging and fun.

Hi,
We wanted to get our journal started. We will be keeping this updated on a regular basis. As you can see from our rollerskating picture, we like to have a lot of fun together!
