Memorial Day: Shawn, June, Madelyn & Ryan after a swim together. It was a beautiful day for a swim & a picnic, so we did just that. We spent the weekend at camp with Jill's family, then stopped at Dave's sister's for a swim & a picnic.
Memorial Day Weekend: We went to the family camp in Elk County. Once again, everyone in Jill's family was able to join in all the fun. We searched for crayfish in the stream, played basketball & kickball, rode bikes, played ping-pong, had campfires, fished & played Jailbreak!! It was both a relaxing & fun-filled weekend!

Easter Sunday--June found her Easter basket! She puts her beloved Peeps on her head. Then, we attended church and split our day between both sides of the family.
Hello! Last Saturday we decided to take a day trip to Meyersdale, PA to attend the Maple Syrup Festival. It turned out to be just perfect for June (Dave & I too). Of course we learned how to make maple syrup & ate some wonderful pancakes, but we also experienced some historical games, an old homestead, and a wonderful parade. June was most excited about the trumpets & the horses (she loves horses & we plan to get her one some day)! June was excited to participate in some great children's crafts too.
What we did this weekend...Friday evening we had another birthday party. Saturday we spent most of our day helping at a benefit for our nephew who just had a kidney transplant. This is a picture of Jill's dad, Dave & brother-in-law Gregg at the benefit dinner. June & her cousins had fun serving the drinks. Sunday we enjoyed the day outside playing & gardening in the yard.
The weather was warmer this weekend, so June had a bike riding lesson, she played on her swing set, we threw rocks into the stream, we played hide & seek with Maddie, & went for a walk. Sunday was very rainy, so we put on our rain gear to splash in the puddles. June wanted to fish, but it would have been too muddy & wet to get to the pond. We settled on fishing in a rather large puddle in the yard--it was so funny to see her get excited about casting her line into a puddle!!
Here we go! Today is the first day our profile is on the internet. We can't wait to meet our adoption match!
