Halloween 2009 has been a lot of fun! Jackson was a race car driver at his pre-school's Halloween parade on Friday. On Halloween we had a great time trick-or-treating in the neighborhood. Jack especially likes the chocolate candy he received but is apparently "allergic to Tootsie Roll lollipops."

Jack just started soccer this year and he is loving every second of it. We look forward to games all week.

We had a great time with friends at a fall festival in our neighborhood. We picked pumpkins, went on a hayride, saw farm animals and more.

We are so excited! Jackson's grandma Ya Ya and Uncle Chuck are coming to visit. They are our all-time favorite people!! We are going to have a blast. We are going to go to the children's museum, the pool and a friend's birthday party. Us adults are also looking forward to some quality time together too. (I want to go to the movies!)

Jackson is also looking forward to next week because his camp is having a HELICOPTER visit. How, I am not sure. Should be a big hit with all the kids, though.

Jackson has been so sweet with the little siblings of his friends- babies and toddlers. He loves to tickle the feet of the babies. He is very protective of the toddlers and makes sure they don't fall into the swimming pool or run out of the playground. I so hope he can be a big brother soon. He will be the big brother all kids want as their own. I am sure of it.

We can't believe it is almost August. We have been having a great summer. Jackson learned to swim without his swim vest and is now enthusiastically jumping into the pool! We can't get him out of the water. Jackson is enjoying summer camp, which has included field trips to the zoo, strawberry picking and fishing. We've enjoyed spending time with our friends and family. We are in the midst of planning a pot luck pool party that will sure to be a lot of fun.

We are having a great summer so far, with lots of parties, barbecues, swimming and visits to the beach.

We are hopeful that a birth parent will reach out to us soon.

We are so excited to welcome a baby into our family.

We are having a great time on our vacation in Chicago to celebrate all the May birthdays in our family. One of the highlights of our trip has been going to the White Sox game. Jackson went to his first professional baseball game with his Papa Mark, Uncle Chuck and Mike.

Last night we were going through Jackson's book shelf. He decided he wanted to set aside his favorite books from when he was a baby for a future baby sister or brother. It was really cute.

Today Jackson had a swimming lesson with his buddies and later he is going to a birthday party. Right now Mike and Jackson are having lunch with Mom Mom and Pop Pop.

Last night we were talking about how excited we were about being on this website, because it means we could be matched with a wonderful birth family soon. We really hope a birth mother or birth father contacts us!

We recently returned from a vacation in Florida, where this picture was taken. While we were there, we talked about how hopefully on next year's trip we will have a new baby with us.
