What a wonderful day! The sun is shining and no rain for once! Spring time in Chicago can be short, so we make sure to enjoy the nice weather while we can. We're getting ready for mother's day with Jason's mom. Her favorite movie is Wizard of Oz, so we're planning on making her a cake with a yellow brick road and the emerald city in the background. It seems like a pretty big endeavor, but I know that together we can make it happen. Besides, just seeing how happy this will make her will make the whole experience worth while. We spent the weekend together, runnin some errands and then getting out and enjoying spring. There are tons of places around to go hiking, so we picked our favorite and went out. We took the GPS and did a geocache as well. If you're not sure what that is, I highly recommend the activity. There are plenty of websites that simply give you a GPS coordinate. Then, you drive and hike in to the spot and look for the "cache" or box of goodies. We usually leave a note for the next treasure hunter along with a little something. Today, we left a note and an older CD we've listened to hundreds of times. Antoher wonderful weekend together, next time I'll have to remember to bring my camera. I'm not used to having document my life! Hope all is well with everyone else.
