We went to Colorado last week to visit friends and family. It is such a pretty state and we enjoyed our vacation. It was cold and actually snowed the first two days we were there, but was 80 and sunny the rest of the time. Out photo is from an Air Force Academy football game in Colorado Springs, the game was great!

This weekend we went to the Romeo Peach Festival with my mom, aunt & uncle and my sister and her family. My Grandparents lived in Romeo and when I was little, it was a family tradition to go to the Peach Festival every Labor Day. Saturday night David and I celebrated our eight year anniversary by going to an excellent steak restaurant, the food was delicious and we had a nice time. Sunday our entire family got together for a BBQ. Monday we relaxed, took the dogs on a long walk and got ready for the week. It was so nice to have an extra day off.

Friday I took my nephew out to lunch and then school clothes shopping, it was nice to spend the day with him. Sunday my dad, my sister and her family came over for dinner.

David's mom and brother visited us for the weekend. David took them to Canada on Friday, and Saturday we went to a BBQ at my mom's house. It was great to see them!

Last weekend we went to Frankfort, MI and stayed in a fun & relaxing Bed & Breakfast. It was windy and cold, but we still had a great time. We went to the beach, swam in Lake Michigan (burr!), shopped, and drove through the Sleeping Bear sand dunes.

It felt good to get away!
