Halloween was fun but also pretty cold! Lucas dressed up as a cowboy and we went trick-or-treating with both our immediate neighbors and 8 kids altogether! In the evening we stopped by at a Halloween party.

We just returned from a little vacation to South Carolina where we met with a befriended family and their daughter in Lucas' age and their baby girl. We rented a beach condo in Hilton Head Island with them and it was a dream! The water was still so warm and we saw dolphins and sea stars and a shooting star on our first evening. It was really a magical place and we are sure that we will return. Lucas had a blast playing all day long with his little friend.

We returned from a week in Michigan where we spent a great week with both grannies. We had rented a beach house right on the beach and didn't want to leave when the week was over. We hung out on the beach a lot, had beach fires at night, did a dune ride in a nearby little town, paddled along lake Michigan with a canoe. Lucas totally loved it and always wanted to use a paddle. He did surprisingly good.

We have currently both grandmas visiting in town and Lucas gets totally spoiled. Last night Lucas had soccer training and Torsten was able to drop by after work and we all watched Lucas play. It was a beautiful summer night and so much fun to watch the little kids play. Of course we would like to enlarge our own team of prospective soccer-(or something else) players.

We just got back from the pool. Lucas had so much fun splashing in the warm water and it was nice and sunny today.
