We're ready for Spring, so we headed down to the National Botanic Gardens in DC! It was warm and humid and sunny there and all the flowers and plants were beautiful...a nice break from the snow and ice!

We were talking today about how difficult this decision must be for you. We want you to know that we're ready, whenever you decide. And hope you'll get in touch with us soon!

Hope you had a great Halloween - we had an awesome time on the porch with all the kids coming by. Some of the costumes were hysterical! :) Now we're gearing up for Thanksgiving! Thinking of you, wherever you are...

We have been trying to have some fun this summer, but staying pretty close to home. John's birthday was recently and we went out to Annapolis with friends for a crab feast by the water. Amazing day, awesome food, wonderful friends. :)

I was going through all the paperwork from our homestudy and came across some info from some of our close friends who volunteered to be references for us. I thought you might want to have an idea what others close to us think about us, our decision to adopt and what kind of parents we'll be!

Hi! John and I just got back from some vacation time in Florida! It was a great trip and we needed it - it's been a long time since we got away! The weather and the beach was perfect. We were even able to see the space shuttle land. The last day we got up early, early, early to see the sunrise over the beach (our little tradition) and it was spectacular!

We spent alot of time holding hands and walking the beach, reflecting on our journey to adopt a child...wondering what the future holds...

What did you do this weekend? We spent the weekend pretty close to home - some gardening, hanging out and firing up the grill for dinner with friends. It was amazingly good... :)

We were talking last night about you - how it will be meeting the right person, getting to know you and wondering what you are doing right now. We know that you're going through so many challenges and so much heartache right now. We are both hoping to meet you soon, talk to you and learn more about you...

It was a busy weekend. Yesterday I watched my friend's 11 month old daughter for awhile. We had a great time! After a nap, diaper change and a bottle, we snuggled and read a book, played with some toys (and the TV remote), wiggled our toes and laughed. She's nearly walking and so very busy. What a fun age... She is growing so fast and it's such a joy for us to watch with her parents while she and her 3 year old brother learn and grow more everyday...

Even though we haven't met yet, we're praying for you and wondering where you are, what you're doing...

John and I are ready to be parents, ready for the responsibility...and ready to start building a strong foundation for a little someone's future...hoping to make the right connection soon!
