We had a great weekend - spent some time together at home and then visited with good friends and enjoyed someone special's 4th Birthday! (actually two special guys) Lots of kids, lots of noise and lots of fun!

What a nice weekend! It was beautiful and 70 degrees here in Maryland...a great day to get outside. We took the dog for a good long walk over at the state park near our house...there were tons of people there and the lake looks beautiful this time of year...

Happy Halloween! We had a really fun time this year - decorated the house, we carved our pumpkins, drank cider and handed out candy to a ton of kiddos! Halloween is such a fun holiday for kids and it's so great to see them having so much fun...

It's getting cooler and the leaves are turning here - starting to really feel like Fall! We're looking forward to Halloween - we love to decorate the house and enjoy all the kids coming by to Trick or Treat! We've had some interest in our profile this week and are feeling hopeful that someone will feel like we're a good match! Hope you're having a good week...

Hi, hope your week is off to a great start! We had a really nice weekend and went to NY to see relatives. It was great to see my family and spend time together catching up...there's never enough time together! We came back through the City and the view of the Manhattan skyline never stops amazing us! Beautiful!

It was a nice weekend but we still had our adoption plans on our mind the entire time. We are soooo ready to find that person we connect with and who will choose us to care for their child!

We get so much encouragement from our families. My sister-in-law (John's sister) sent me an email this week after reading our profile: "John will make a great daddy. And you're going to be a fantastic mommy! : ) I just hope your time comes soon."

So do we!

I was going through all the paperwork from our homestudy and came across some info from some of our close friends who volunteered to be references for us. I thought you might want to have an idea what others close to us think about us, our decision to adopt and what kind of parents we'll be!

Today we went to look at baby car seats! We have been thinking we should at least be prepared for a little one's homecoming...we bought one and John had to take a look, of course. So, now we are completely ready and waiting for the right time!

This weekend we headed down to DC and Ben's Chili Bowl - John HAD to have one of Ben's chili dogs! It was a beautiful day and a nice drive, so it was a fun way to spend the afternoon...

Hi! Hope you're having a great holiday weekend...we are so glad to have a long weekend! Susan's mom came to visit with us this weekend...it will be nice to just hang out and spend time. We may head to the pool and then off to find a place to people watch and eat crabs! We love summertime!

The weekend is finally here! Shorty has had a nice long walk and visited with all the neighbors, John is cutting the grass and I am puttering around the house. We're hoping to get things taken care of this morning so we can do something fun this afternoon. It's looking like rain, so maybe a movie and dinner!

Yesterday we traveled to Baltimore to get background checks started for our home study update... our current home study is good for several more months but we're getting an early start on the update to make sure that it's all taken care of!
