Hope Everyone is having a wonderful summer. We are even though it has been HOT HOT HOT! I don't mind it we are so close to the lake and we have a pool so we can cool off during these 90-100 degree days. Austin is already in practice for football and baseball. He finished drivers ed and passed YEAH! I'll still warn you when he's on the road :) just kidding he's a pretty good driver. We have been watering our new lawn we put in up front and my flowers are looking pretty sad and we water them too poor things. The sun is taking its toll on them I'm afraid. We are thinking of taking a day or two up in Chicago to tour the city and eat some wonderful food. There is nothing like Chicago restaurants there are many that are to die for! Well sorry my journals have less frequent it's summer and we are on the go biking, swimming and getting together for cookouts left and right it seems so I do apologize.

Happy 4th of July I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday. We are hosting a party at our house it's going to be 100+ degrees today so we have the pool therefore we are the party spot :) We don't mind I love getting people together for a fun occasion. Well be safe everyone!!

We are going up to Michigan to my brother's today for the annual Fathers Day fish fry. My brother loves to fish and so he hosts a party every year and shares all his fish he has caught all year long. It is so yummy and so nice to get together with my Michigan friends and of course my family!!

Hosting Fathers day dinner for Eric and his family today since we will be going up to Michigan tomorrow for my family cookout. It's a beautiful day and I'm cooking steaks and all the goodies on the grill. It should be a great day! Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Hope everyone is doing well. Austin is on spring break this week and has been busy with practices for the Freshmen baseball team. Yes he made the team we are so proud of him!! We have the floor guys finally coming in to lay the floor in the dining room and the nursery. We were getting quotes from several people and then the tough decision on what type of floor we want. I am so excited to get this all done so I can get the nursery ready , it is going to be so cute! Other than that we are pretty mellow just carrying on with our day to day stuff. We are planning a trip to go to Yellowstone next year so I am excited to get the details for that all done. We love to see new sights and we have never been there so it should be a blast to experience this trip together!! OK well everyone have a great day!!

We ordered the crib yesterday so cute! Found the decor we want for the room. We are still shopping for flooring we ran out of time yesterday I guess we spent ALOT of time in Babies R Us it was fun! So we are headed out this afternoon to check out some more flooring. Hopefully have that project started by the end of the week. So that is the latest and greatest for now. Happy Sunday everyone!

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend so far. We are heading out to look at flooring for the dining room and carpet for the nursery . Then we are going to purchase the nursery furniture to add to the room that is awaiting our miracle!

Well today is my birthday! (Julie) We went out for dinner, cake, presents, and lots of laughs with the family. Gotta love them! And yes I made the same special wish I have made for the last 6 years. Praying it comes true this year!

Yeah the nursery is all done it is sooo baby green. It is so beautiful. Just need to decorate, get new carpeting , and be blessed with our angel and the room will be complete!

Got one coat done on the ceiling and one on the walls. Coat #2 will have to wait for tomorrow or Thursday!

I got my shopping out of the way this morning now time to paint the nursery!! We will have to hold back on the decorating part because I have been told that we are to register for all the decor for the room and then our friends and family get those things for us at our shower. LOL I guess they are worried they won't have anything to buy if they give me free reign. :) (they are probably right) We just have to be patient.

Austin is all moved downstairs into his new pad, and loves it! We're now heading to Lowes to get paint for the nursery. It is going to be sooo beautiful when it's all done. Of course my friends and family keep reining me in to not shop because they are all ready to throw a baby shower and they want to do the shopping lol.

Well I'm heading to Indy on Friday Austin has to have a follow up for his knee surgery he had 2 years ago. It's hard to believe its been that long already. So thankful that we took him to the best to make sure he was able to have full use of his knees. He was able to return to sports within a year of his injury and we owe a huge thank you to Dr Shelbourne! It's suppose to snow all day that day , that should make the trip interesting. Be safe anyone else having to travel that day!

Well it's snowing they are saying we may have up to 8 inches by morning! It is winter so what do we expect. Besides everything is much prettier out and we can't go sledding without the snow! We decided to pick up some things to prepare for when we are blessed. Eric ,Austin , and I went shopping this weekend for some baby clothes, bedding for the bassinet as well as super soft blankets. Personally I want one my size they are so soft and cuddly! It was really nice to see the guys getting into buying and picking out "baby" stuff. They were so funny. Well everyone if you are out an about in this Midwest storm be safe!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Wishing everyone a warm and happy holiday!

The Holidays are fast approaching. We have two Christmas parties this weekend one today and one tomorrow. Today is with our closest friends and all the kids. It's so much fun the children buy a present for another child and the adults bring a present and we do thieves Christmas exchange . There are some of our friends who are a little competitive and they keep stealing the presents. It's a lot of fun. And tomorrow we are going to the nursing facility where two of Eric's cousins reside they are wonderful! All the family is going to them so they can take part in the Christmas celebration like all the years past. The basement is almost finished with the carpeting just one more room to do and then I have to decorate :) my favorite part! Once all done pictures will be posted. I'm still not finished with Christmas shopping just need a couple more things then I'm officially done. Everyone is coming for Christmas Eve I can't wait to see everyone, we are so glad that we are able to provide a warm home and a yummy meal for everyone. There are always tons of conversations going on through our home and lots of laughs! We love it! We hope everyone is having a nice holiday season so far and we wish you all Peace and Love!

Well first of all So sorry I haven't updated for a couple weeks! Hope everyone's Thanksgiving was wonderful. We had everyone at our house and it was great. We love our family! We have a traditional meal turkey, stuffing, veggies, mashed potatoes etc.. YUM! We are still working on getting the basement finished as of right now Austin's new room is done except for the carpeting. And one coat of paint is on the ceiling and walls in the rest of the basement. So it is coming together YEAH! I've had a wonderful week so far, started off with a great visit and lunch date with an amazing person who makes me laugh and smile every time I'm around her, gotta love and cherish those relationships! Eric and Austin have been exceptionally helpful around the house since I've started working on the downstairs again, I am so lucky to have those two as my boys :) I have done a little Christmas shopping but not too much yet still have to talk to one more person to get some ideas for their kiddos! Well that's pretty much it if I think of anything else I'll update soon. Take care everyone!

Now tonight we are going to our friends house gotta love homemade pizzas and good company. Austin is taking his xbox to play Madden 12 with our friends little guys , they all love the sport so they should have a good time. I just love how Austin being a teenager doesn't mind a bit playing with our friends little munchkins, he is going to be an awesome big brother. He just told me yesterday he is so excited to be a big brother. I sometimes forget he is waiting and praying just as much as Eric and I are to be blessed with a child.

Well we have been pretty boring lately to be honest :) Just work and school. Today I went out to the mall and did some shopping , which I love! I did venture to Babies R Us and there are so many adorable things out right now for babies! I can't wait to shop trip for our blessing!

The room downstairs is pretty much done YEAH! I have to do some touching up on paint and little things like that but overall it's finished. Austin chose a light grey for his room and the basement is going to be a combo of a neutral color with a bold accent color on certain walls. As for the nursery thinking green? What do you all think? We are going to help a couple families this year for the holidays one through our work and one that has come to us through our friends. It really is the true meaning of the holidays to help others that are struggling this holiday season. Well I hope everyone is well, have a great night.

Just watching the Bears game with the boys!

Painting , Painting and Painting! This week the doors and trim are going up downstairs. I then need to finish painting the rest of the basement and then we can lay carpet. This weekend I've been painting all the exterior doors to the house , they needed a little freshening up and it wasn't raining so I figured I'd better get it done. Once the basement is done it will be time to paint the nursery so it is all ready for when our home is blessed! Still have things to do but the remodel and all the updating is looking so nice. Amazing what a coat of paint can do. Ill have to post pics once everything is all done :)

Ok so we had our home study today. All went well :) of course. We have to renew this each year and it was that time again. Tomorrow we are going to start painting the walls downstairs so that they can finish up the trim and we can then lay the carpet and we can finally have our downstairs back together again. Austin is excited about his new space downstairs that is for sure :)

We have a weekend of yard work and getting things ready for the snow to fly here in the next couple months. It is definitely easier to do this stuff when the weather is sooo beautiful! We are going to be starting remodel soon for Austin's new room he's so excited. He wants one of the walls painted with the chalkboard paint so he and all his friends can draw on the walls without getting in trouble lol. And then of course his old room will be made over to be the nursery not sure what color is going in that room yet but we will decide on some neutral color :)

Cleaning house and getting food prepared for dinner tonight with Eric's family! We are going to celebrate Eric's Dad and brothers bdays! Fondue is on the menu ...mmmm one of our personal favorites! I'm hungry all ready :)

We are off to Austin's football game against Portage. GO TROJANS!! It is cold and windy brrrr! But that is football weather right? We have been pretty low key at our home this week due to all the rain we have been kinda couch potatoes :) so nothing else too exciting! Stay warm everyone!

We had a wonderful time yesterday at my best friends sons bday party! Good food and as always lots of laughs. Today just bumming around the house it's chilly and rainy out so going to clean house , do laundry , watch the Bears and Packers game ( Go BEARS!) and probably cuddly with hubby and Austin for a movie tonight!

We had a fantastic weekend. We went and bought the Kubota tractor that Eric has been wanting for forever on Saturday. So he is in heaven. He keeps going around the house saying " I love her" LOL. Boys and their toys I tell ya. We went to my nephews 6 bday party on Saturday and played with my niece and nephew the whole time :) And Sunday we had a fantastic lunch with an amazing couple! We are truly blessed!

Ok well the boys lost last night 13 to 14 it was a close game that's for sure! It was rainy and the ball was slick lots of fumbles and turnovers on both sides. Still had a good time and Austin said he still had fun, which is what it's all about!

Ok getting ready to head out to Austin's football game. It is definitely football weather. Grey, cool and rainy! But we don't care we would never miss a game that's for sure! We are going to cheer on our son and his team! Let's GO Trojans!!

Well we survived the weekend of camping. The monsoons didn't wash us out! We had such a good time with our friends. We were so busy either swimming, fishing, playing football or kickball. We had tons of laughs by the campfire. We are truly blessed to have wonderful family and friends that we can spend time with and make wonderful memories.

Well the boys lost their game last night. But Austin had a great game. He caught 2 passes and one was in the end zone for a TD! Did great job kicking the whole game and got in on some good tackles too! He was difficult to get in the car after the game because his head was sooo big! LOL Well we are going to be packing up to get ready to head out for our weekend camping trip with all our friends it's going to be a great weekend with family and friends! Hope you all have a fantastic weekend too!

Getting ready for our camping weekend starting Friday! We do this with our friends every year. The kids and adults have such a great time. We're so ready for fishing, hobo pies and campfire chats! Come on Friday!!

OK today we are heading out to look at tractors, Eric is sooo excited. It is like a huge toy for him. I think all guys get excited about machinery, just my opinion :) My best friends son is playing football today and so we are going to check out the little guy's game. Austin is going too he said he has to go cheer him on ! Then who knows it is so beautiful out maybe we will go to the dunes and hang out at the beach for awhile.

Back to school for the kiddos today. Austin was up early and ready to go. I think he was kind of excited for school to start. In a few weeks I'll be dragging him out of the bed to get up and ready for school :D

Today was Eric's birthday. Everyone at his work decorated his desk and they had posted pictures of him everywhere around the department :D he said everywhere he turned he saw himself . Too funny! Every time there is a birthday in our home we always let the birthday boy or girl pick what they want for dinner. Of course it's going to be their favorite meal. There is always cake and ice cream too. You can't have a birthday with out the cake :)

We were invited to dinner at our best friends home last night. We had a wonderful time. Austin entertained their boys for hours. He was a little concerned he was outnumbered and they were ambushing him LOL. He survived. He is so awesome with the little kids he is going to be a wonderful big brother!

Today we are celebrating our anniversary. We are so lucky to have such a strong, loving marriage. Every year we look back and remember all the things we experienced and we are so thankful we shared them together. Everyone has a soul mate out there, we are so blessed that we found each other :)

Had a wonderful day today! Eric and I continue to be blessed by meeting amazing people that come into our lives!

We just got back from our 2011 vacation. We went to Sedona, Arizona. Spent a day at the Grand Canyon. Rented an ATV and spent all day on trails and seeing beautiful views and Indian Ruins. I will post more pictures of our vacation this week.

We have had a beautiful weekend for baseball. Austin's team lost one game and won one last night! It was very exciting and a close game. We have sunny skies and a game this morning the boys are already so pumped they can't wait! So I'm getting ready to make the breakfast of champions for them per their request. Chocolate chip waffles, bacon ,sausage, and OJ to wash it all down! This is Austin's favorite and he has now got his friends hooked :) Well off to the kitchen!

I spoke with an amazing Mom who chose adoption for her child and she has shared a very touching song with me and I wanted to share the lyrics on here. I have to say, I had tears throughout the song and I feel so blessed to have been able to listen to this song and blessed to have met this woman who is clearly full of light and love. Thank you.
